Peppy Heating and Cooling

Although I hadn't listed this as a rush project, I heard from Shanco the same day I requested a quote to repair the aging heat pump that I use to cool the first floor of my house. Alex arrived right on time, diagnosed the problem, offered several options for doing the repair, and got everything fixed and tuned up in a single visit today. Like another reviewer, I signed up for their Comfort Program to ensure my HVAC system gets checked out on a regular basis. I'm looking forward to working with them over the long-term as I replace my aging HVAC equipment in the next few years.

Quick...smart... polite...showed up on time and dependable follow through. I have just engaged them for a yearly maintenance contract. Fingers crossed... I think they are going to be great.

We chose Shanco to install a mini split ductless heating and cooling unit. Inviting strangers into your home to perform services can be a roll of the dice and we feel like we won big from start to finish. Brett was fast to respond and answered all of our questions. The electrician Brett recommended was fantastic and very reasonably priced. The installation performed by Matt and Chris was terrific. They were competent, friendly, and respectful. They kept the indoor and outdoor work areas clean. The invoice amount was exactly as discussed; no surprises. Everyone at Shanco communicated effectively through text, email and phone calls. The entire process from request to completion took less time than I expected, and was completely painless. I highly recommend Shanco, and will definitely use their services again.

The service technician was responsive to my needs and communicated well his arrival time as well as assuring that the placement of my condenser was just as I would want it. Took his time to get the job done right and explained what he had done and what to expect from the service provided. I feel like the service was cost effective and will be using Shanco again in the future.

Brett, the owner of Shanco, made a great first impression while he was inspecting our existing HVAC system before giving us an estimate for a replacement system. While down in the crawl space he noticed it was unusually cold, discovered that the main duct had a big leak in it, and fixed it on the spot. That was one of the primary reasons we hired his firm. And the crew that actually handled the installation (Christ, Matt and Alex) did an exceptional job. It was fun to watch their enthusiastic teamwork and professionalism. Highly recommended!

If you are wary of a company having a lot of 5 star reviews more recently, don t worry as these guys are the real deal. From the first call to the final meeting, Brett, the owner, was the point of contact through the whole process. Alex, Brett s technician, called to give me a heads up before showing up on time and diagnosed the issue of rusted out ducting due to bad AC coils. Due to the extent of our issue and age of our units, we decided to fully replace the AC and furnace. I asked Alex to have Brett give me a good, better and best options. Brett followed up the next day with 3 option boards outlining exactly what you were getting and what you were paying for just for AC and just repair of the duct. I had many questions about mixing and matching options with a new furnace as well. He later sent me 4 option boards for AC+heater upon request. At no point in this whole process did I feel pressured to actually make a purchase. Brett answered all my questions fully via phone, email and text. I am glad I decided to do a full replace. Alex, Matt and Dustin showed up on time the day of the install which took a whole day with the duct repair as well. The quality of work was highly impressive as they cleaned up as if no one was there, they explained everything about the system to me and the fit and finish is incredibly clean. Brett came out the next day to finish connecting and testing the heater and receive the final payment. He answered any remaining questions I had without being in a hurry to leave after payment and chatted while he worked. Each time these guys showed up on time and called before to give a heads up that they were on their way. I highly recommend Brett and his team to anyone thinking of getting any HVAC work done.

We were very happy with the quality of response and service. Shanco was great at tracking down our intermittent furnace issue and getting it repaired. It was a hard task but they performed in a fast, friendly and professional manner to get the job done. Now we have a warm and safe house - thanks Brett and the Shanco team!
