Description of Work: He removed the upper kitchen cabinets, in my kitchen, removed microwave, vent pipe above microwave, removed the soffits that were above the cabinets and below the ceiling. They were plastered over and were made of two by sixes. He removed the light that had been in the soffit over the sink and set it into the ceiling above the sink. He wall boarded the ceiling and top of the wall where the soffits had been removed. He textured those areas. It looked great when he had finished. He did it in a day and a half, so we were not long without the use of our kitchen. The best thing was that my husband liked him and was happy with his work, attitude, and punctuality.

+ 2 moreHe did some repair in the bathroom and bedroom. He was honest, careful, and had a good price. He did an excellent job. We have recommended One Son Construction to our neighbors, and they have used them.
Description of Work: We used One Son Construction Inc. for some work in the condo that we had purchased. He replaced the drywall and did some painting. He also replaced the vanity, sink, and faucet.

+ 2 moreThis was a professional at work. He arrived on time.The door through the closet was not done. Instead he removed the shower control and found no leaks, moisture or mold behind the wall. The work was done as proposed and no moisture or mold was found behind this area. The wall was repaired and the tile installed,the painting and caulking done. The area was neat and clean when he was done. He gave clear instructions as to how long to let things dry before using the shower, how to clean th e area after use.etc. So far, we have had no more problems and the room looks much improved. He completed this in one day.
Description of Work: the wall outside a bathtub had some water damage.Dave came out and looked at it. He stated that he would first have to determine if the leak was inside, or if water splashed on this area when the bather exited the tub.. He proposed installing a service door behind the wall where the pipes ran to check for leaking plumbing and mold. Mold would be handled by a specialist if necessary. If no plumbing leaks, he would remove the drywall and baseboard that had been damaged and replace.He would apply tiles which I had saved from the tub's installation, from the floor and up 3 feet. He would paint the remaining wall and baseboard,and recaulk the tub and shower door base.

The "todo" list was the following: 1) 220v line run from garage for new stove, 2) Baseboards installed in great room, 3) Ceiling fan installed in guest room & 4) Run network cabling behind wall in guest room. We were very surprised that they didn't even call. Work done by another company was $2,500. I guess it's easy to see who wants to work and who doesn't

+ 3 moreDave does an execellent job. He is very careful and knows what to do. He even put the door back on better than it had been by replacing the screws--not even part of the job! He was very responsive and fit us in on short notice. My husband was impressed with the work he observed Dave do on fixing the pipe leak and dryuwall repair and that is why we had him back. I am so glad to have someone like him that I can call on in the future to do anything! He is definitely on my list to call in the future and I would recommend him highly.
Description of Work: Dave had initially fixed a leak in the wall and drywalled it for the HOA. We had him pull up the wood floor that was damaged and then put new flooring down.

Very professional and timely. Got the job done exactly when he said he would. I have tenants in the house and Dave was great communicating with me and working with some difficult tenants. The job turned out great. The price was a little higher than I would have liked, but he did great work, was timely, and very responsive to my phone calls and emails. Definitely worth paying the little extra that I might have saved with a bargain basement contractor.
Description of Work: Installed new vanity and wallboard following flood damage and mold remediation. Also reinstalled carpet, trim, and mirror above vanity, and painted new drywall. I ordered a vanity from Lowe's, which Dave Hammond picked up and installed.

+ 0 moreDave gave an estimate and completed work after flood damage that included drywall repair, painting, replacing baseboards, replacing toe kick of sink, and carpet repair (he subs that part out). He is very prompt in returning phone calls and always a gentleman and courteous to a fault. He completed the work in a timely manner along with some other small jobs I asked him to do that he added for a small fee. I would highly recommend him and will use his services again.
