I went there initially since Tony Blazek, former owner of Blazn' Diagnostics, now works there. Tony has been our family mechanic for years and we found him to be a consummate professional. Our initial plan was to make Maz Tech our new mechanic since Tony works there. When I made the appointment I was a bit disappointed that they could not offer me shuttle service home while they did the inspection since it was expected to take at least an hour. However, I planned my very complex schedule around the inspection and brought my laptop so I could work while I waited. I was on time and turned over my car. I settled in for for an hour and a quarter. When that time was up, I went to the desk, fully expecting to collect my car. THEN they told me they hadn't even started it! No one had told me they were running behind. My times was wasted sitting there for an extra hour. I feel very angry at the gross lack of professionalism not only that they were behind by over an hour, but also that they did not mention it to me. I could easily have scheduled another appointment after that and missed it. They weren't very apologetic about it. When I asked for a discount as compensation for my HOUR of lost time, they acted a bit put out. The person I dealt with had to go ask two people and begrudgingly gave me a only slight discount on the inspection. If they had offered a heartfelt apology and waived the $77 for the inspection I would have given them a second chance based on my experience with Tony. They lost the potential for thousands of dollars in business due to their unprofessionalism & short-sightedness. My time is precious - I will NEVER use them again.

Way overpriced!!! didn't appreciate

I needed the inspection right away and they were able to accommodate my need. The inspection was thorough and explained clearly. I was impressed enough that I'm taking the vehicle back to have some of the issues they found addressed. Worth noting when they did the inspection they did not know I would be coming back to have work performed -- so their assessment should have been non-biased. The staff was friendly and the facilities were clean and comfortable. The inspection was done on schedule. The office staff seem to be organized and efficient. Stay tuned for information about actual service work, which is scheduled for 6/17/2014...

I love them. They told me everything that needed to be done and they gave me an estimate so when I got back and have it done; they did what they said they would do for the price they said it's going to be done. The car was done on the day they said it would be done. My car works beautifully.

Everything was very good. It was a good experience. I would recommend them. They got me in fast and got the problem taken cared of.

I hit a cement post and did damage to my car. The damage wasn't obvious, as it was on the underside of the car. It wasn't handling well, however, and I drove up to Maz-Tech without an appointment. They immediately took my car for a test drive to get a feel for the issue. They took the car right into the shop and determined the problem. It required a new part-they researched options and were able to secure a used part that saved me a significant amount of money. The car needed to stay in the shop for the repair and they graciously took me home. Later that day, I realized I left some items in my car. One of the owners drove to my house and personally delivered these items. The car was repaired by the next day-they finished earlier than anticipated and called to notify me. All their staff, Craig and owners Barbi and Mike, are just awesome! They are personable, helpful, knowledgeable, efficient and just darn good people! I trust them implicitly, which is not something you can always say when it comes to car repair. I am so glad I found Maz-Tech! I wouldn't take my car anywhere else! I can't say enough good things about them and highly encourage you to take your car to them!

I moved to Boise this summer. I needed a repair and went to Maz-Tech initially for convenience-they are just one mile from my house. Car repairs are generally not something you look forward to but they made it a very efficient, pleasant and even enjoyable experience! They were just awesome in every respect-so welcoming, patient, friendly, professional-just cannot say enough good things about them. My second experience was for a minor repair-my brake lots were out and I drove up without an appointment. This is what blew me away-the OWNER of the company literally jumped up out of his chair, took my keys and personally serviced my car. He spent a fair amount of time because accessing some of the parts was a little complicated. I needed to bring it back the next day since I had to get to another appointment. Once again, they jumped on it, fixed everything and my entire bill was less than $5.00! He didn't charge me for his time-who does that?? Maz-Tech does! Their facility is immaculate! Customers have three lounge areas to wait, complete with wi-fi and computer hook up stations, TV, magazines and a wide variety of beverages from a Keurig coffee machine. Take your car to Maz-Tech!!!! They are genuine, honest, hard working, patient, professional and welcoming! They know what they're doing and they do it with a smile!

We have been using MazTech for the last few years and have found them to be both professional and reliable. They are glad to give estimates for their work and stick to the price quoted. In my experience their bids are generally lower than the dealerships. They also have a mailing list that, once you are on, includes monthly coupons for service discounts.

Very friendly, professional staff. My car has an unusual alignment problem caused by a factory defect. The car was not built properly, and the dealership where I bought the car new was never able to acknowledge it and fix it. Maz-Tech diagnosed the problem and offered a great solution. I'm extremely impressed.

Ask for any available coupon, or at least get on their mailing list for discount coupons which will come in handy. These people also offer a good warranty on their work and free rotations on the tires they put on your car.

Both repairs were completed expertly and my car was ready the next day. We store the car in the winter and have plans to return to Maz-Tech to have the other items addressed in the spring. Maz-Tech takes the time to explain quite clearly any issues the find with the car. They take the time to thoroughly go over the estimate before the repairs are performed and review the bill with you after the repairs have been completed. The estimate was spot on with no surprises when we picked up the car. The garage is spotless, the staff are very knowledgeable, professional and downright nice people. I look forward to a long term relationship with Maz-Tech for all of my car servicing needs.

A car-care/lube and oil-change business alerted me that the Mazda resonator had a hole, and had given me a bid. Maz-tech checked for that problem during other work that I was having done on my car, and confirmed the hole. I told them I wanted to go ahead with the fix. (Go with people you know!) Their estimate was $90 higher than the previous bid, but likely because my Mazda is a 1989 car, and they found and ordered an original replacement part from Salt Lake City. I made an early appointment the following week and had the work done while I waited (approx. 1 1/2 hours). Through-out this experience (and more than 10 years of my service calls with them), they have been both personable and professional. Their estimates are very close to actual. They pay attention to the car and other possible issues. If a customer lives nearby, they will take the customer home after a car drop-off. They send out mailings with coupons to incentivize follow-up care. On occasion they send personal "Thank You" notes for my patronage. (Note: They service foreign makes other than Mazda.) I'm hard pressed to offer a criticism.

They do a great job. They are honest mechanics, which is often hard to find. They are wonderful, and I have been very happy with them.
