LOWE'S

Avoid the Cole store like the plague! Ordered a 9'X16' garage door and it arrived damaged, WEEKS after it was supposed to. Ordered a gas range and refrigerator which showed up damaged. The gas range was dented at the leg so it was not useable and now have to wait weeks, upon the weeks my family has already gone without a stove, for the next one to show. Ordered two French exterior doors and guess what? You got it one is warped and now I have to file a claim, while there is a hole in the back of my house, for the manufacturer to come and look at it. The damaged fridge will just have to stay because I am afraid to return it! I talked to different people every time so there is no consistency, nobody has a direct line so you have to go through the switchboard, managers seem to always be gone.... I mean really what is going on with Lowes? I regret every dime of the 20K I've spent there on my remodel. Go to Home Depot, Franklin Building, or log the forest yourself and make your own lumber before you use this Lowes.

The Eagle/Ustick store had attic insulation on sale for $12/bale (normally $36/bale), but sold out just before we got there. We immediately drove to the Boise store (near Edwards), which had it on sale for $24/bale. We pulled the $12 price up on our smart phone, and the product number matched exactly. The manager in lumber was called over, and he refused to match the advertised price of another Lowe's store. He said that the Eagle/Ustick store was trying to clear them out of their inventory, so he wouldn't match the price. He was extremely rude, condesending, and humiliated us for wanting the price match. The cashier was also extremely rude, and told me I had no right to expect a price match. She even said, "people like you expect everything handed to them." People like me?!? A smart, savvy shopper? After being treated so poorly, we walked away and decided to buy the insulation from the Meridian store instead. When we got there, we asked for the price match in the same manner, and the manager in Meridian honored the price with kindness and grace. He in fact commended us for being such smart shoppers. We will always shop at the Meridian store, and NEVER shop at the Boise store again.

I went to Lowe's and picked out the laminate for the counter top and purchased the sink and faucet and miscellaneous supplies to complete the project. The salesman at Lowe's was very helpful at picking out the miscellaneous supplies needed. Lowe's arranged for the plumber and counter top people to come over. But it was about 3 weeks later that when Lowe's estimated when the work would be done. I had to keep calling Lowe's and asking when was the work going to get done. The manager kept saying that he just talked to to contractors and that they will be calling me that day. Well, this went on for about 2 weeks. But the work eventually did get finished and they did a very good job. The plumber they sent out was especially helpful and he ended up completed some work that the counter top guy did not do.
