+ 2 moreWe found Mike on here and from the 1st conversation he was great to work with. He was easy to communicate with about our projects and what my vision was for our kitchen window. The window was not an easy/quick fix. Mike offered up a few options and then took the time to really talk it out with me so we could make the best choice. He did a great job on the window and it looks so good! He also wired and installed 2 ceiling fans for us and finished up baseboards in another area. Mike was great to work with, honest, and more than fair. He was on time and I felt comfortable leaving him in my home while I ran out here and there. We will definitely be calling him again for future projects.
Description of Work: Kitchen window trimmed , baseboards put in, ceiling fans wired and installed.

+ 1 moreMike is the most professional contractor I have EVER worked with, and I've done a number of projects over the years. Absolutely would HIGHLY recommend for any job; big or small.
Description of Work: Had a covered patio with a metal roof built. Included a concrete expansion, stone fireplace w/tv cabinet above fireplace and a full outdoor kitchen.

Description of Work: When we think of Michael Larson DBA Larson Builders, three words come to mind ... integrity, quality and innovation. We believe Mike to be one of the most honest, dependable, and ethical craftsman we know! We hired Michael for our kitchen remodel and the remodel of our front entrance of our 1976 ranch home. Michael made our "Dream Kitchen" happen, just in time for holidays ... with great attention to detail, focus on customer satisfaction, superb craftsmanship, great problem solving plus he saved us money! As the contractor for our total kitchen remodel, Michael started with gutting our small 1976 galley kitchen, enlarging and moving the kitchen for a lake view, removing walls, vaulting the ceiling, adding a large island and opening it up to the living room complete with adding a new walk-in pantry, new closet and wood floor. It is PERFECT! We LOVE LOVE LOVE our new kitchen . . . it is so much fun to entertain in, cook in and live in! We highly recommend MICHAEL LARSON BUILDERS!!! We also had Michael build the "redesign of our exterior front entrance" by extending and vaulting the entry, installing posts and enclosing the complete soffit and installing lighting. It is AMAZING and brought our 1976 ranch home into the 21st Century! Thank you Michael for this great transformation! Michael is a great problem solver and offered us many innovative ideas and unlimited skills that made our kitchen and remodeled entrance unique and they blended beautifully with the style of our home. In fact, we have received many compliments "that our new kitchen and entrance looks like they have always been there!" Goal accomplished! THANK YOU MICHAEL LARSON!!! + 1 moreLarson Builders did a superb job. They worked "clean" with zipwalls to minimize dust intrusion into the rest of the house, and the craftsmanship was outstanding. They were punctual, on site every day during the construction period, and got it done quickly.
Description of Work: We wanted to convert a loft into a bedroom, which involved constructing walls, doors, closet, shelving, electrical, etc.

+ -1 moreEverything went very well and the Larson's were consummate professionals. Mike and his father arrived as scheduled and we prioritized the work to be done. Prior to starting Mike made several suggestions regarding our work to be done that really made our projects better than what we had originally planned. At the end of the day Mike made sure everything was picked up and cleaned before he left. We were very pleased with both Mike and his father and already have additional work being planned for them to do.
Description of Work: Remove existing panels and install new wood panels in the entryway area; remove existing attic ladder and install new one; frame and hang a 3ftX4ft mirror; and some minor plumbing and electrical work.

They demoed a pony wall, moved my dishwasher, added the extra cabinets and now my kitchen is huge. It is exactly what I was looking for. I would definitely use them again.

+ 1 moreWe purchased a home with the intent of remodeling it, but, halfway through, realized there were some structural issues that we had not anticipated. We decided to tear down a good portion of the existing house, turn the remaining into a guest house; and build a new house, as that seemed to be a cheaper and better option that the original remodel. We started this project on our own but soon realized we were out of our depth with the many problems. Larson Builders stepped in and cleaned up our mess. They completed the remodel of the existing house to make a wonderful guest house, and they built the newly designed main house. They helped with the design of certain elements and turned the whole project from disaster to dream house. The trim work they did in the interior is beautiful and really sets the house apart. I have recommended them to friends, and their experiences were similarly positive.
Description of Work: General contractor and design consultant for remodel of existing house (to make guest house) and build of new house. Performed trim carpentry on project as well.

The subcontractors Mike used were also experienced and courteous. + 1 moreMy overrall experience was wonderful! Larson builders is very hands on and stayed on top of everything and was very detailed. The home addition and remodel took 3 months from start to finish. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of our project. Larson Builders were so pleasant to work with and do fantastic work.
Description of Work: Larson Builders added on 1,050 sq ft to my home and did a complete kitchen remodel with removing a couple of walls and adding a wall in another room in the house. The 1,050 sq ft addition included a new utility room, office, master bedroom, bath and walk in closet.

Unlike previous contractor experiences Mike actually did what he said he was going to do and it was done when he said it would be done. His work is exceptional and he was able to make some good recommendations to accomplish what I wanted done. I have used him since on other projects and would use him again.
Description of Work: Mike did a great job on a tight budget and under a short timeline. He put in a new kitchen and bathroom and built in office with several desks, numerous small improvement projects, and built a custom stone stove cover.
