Jean's Cleaning Services

Angie and Fred came to our house to do consult and we were impressed so we scheduled their deep cleaning followed by monthly cleaning plan. Angie and Fred with 2 other ladies started working at 930am. They thought the work would take them ~5 hours. We left and came back at 1pm (3.5 hours later) and they were already done and left. Initially not a big deal if all the work was completed. We walked in the living room and all windows front and back had smears. Like they used a dirty cloth to clean the windows. Very surprising! We began taking a closer look and found that the master bedroom furniture had not completely been dusted/cleaned. In fact the ice cream drop on my night stand wasn't even touched. Looking at the headboard closely only half of it was dusted. In addition every picture frame in the house had droplets of oil beading up. I have no idea what they use on the frames but not cool. We have some very unique oil painted art from our honeymoon in Italy. So far the pictures look ok, but we had to wipe down every family picture and piece of art work to remove the excess oil. In addition reclean the bedroom furniture and all windows. It would appear that at least one person in their team didn't do a very good job. I immediately called Angie on Fred as soon as I inspected everything leaving messages on all of their contact phones by Saturday at 1:30pm (30 minutes after we arrived home). They didnt return my call until Sunday night. The soonest Angie could return was Tuesday morning. I wanted to review everything with her and Tuesday morning I have meetings I couldnt reschedule. We set to meet on Friday at 4pm. She arrived 25 minutes early before I could get home. My wife reviewed the list with Angie and she commented it had been a week, so everything was dirty. Angie addressed some of the windows and said she had to leave. I was home at 4pm and she had already left. If she disagreed with the list she could have at least waited until I got home. I took pictures of everything on my phone and have multiple examples of a super poor cleaning job and in some cases (like the windows) they made it worse. They did do a good job in the kitchen with the exception of the oven. For an extra $50 they were supposed to clean the oven. Overall the oven wasn't that dirty and I would expect it to be much cleaner. We never scheduled any further follow ups. I would rather do it right the first time myself.

We love Jean's! We tried several house cleaning services before settling on Jean's. Even if they werent as good, we still would have gone with them because of the owners. It is important that you trust the people who are cleaning your house, and we do. The fact they cleaned more thoroughly than the others only added to our position as satisfied customers. Go with Jean's and you won't be sorry.

They do an excellent job and they are very professional. I would definitely recommend their services. They will send you an email if there are any changes in their schedule and they are very good at making sure they know exactly what you want. They will send you a an email with a service task list and an estimate of their fees, as well as their policies and a list of frequently asked questions.

We have been using Jean's Cleaning Services (JCS) for about 6 months. Overall, JCS has done an excellent job cleaning our home. They are friendly, thorough and detail oriented. I have used other cleaning services in the past and there are a few things that make JCS exceptional by comparison. 1) The owner, is one of the cleaners and she has been at every cleaning herself and comes with one assistant. I like knowing that I am paying the people who do the hard work and not paying the majority of the fee to a management service. 2) Pricing options: The $150 above is for the whole house and we have a large house. However, they allowed us to combine two different levels of service to bring the cost down. Once a month they clean the whole house for $150 and the second time a month they clean those rooms that get used daily (kitchen, master BR, kids BRs, family room, 3 bathrooms, and leave the dining room, offices, laundry room and dining room for the whole house session). This suits us very well because those other rooms are not used as often (or as hard) and it saves us money. I had gotten several estimates and no one else we talked to offered this. 3) Flexibility: Although having a regular schedule is required and understandable, on two occasions JCS accommodated changes in our schedule without a fee (one cancellation and one, one-time, change of day). In the past I have been charged a fee for schedule changes by other services. 4) Customer service: When something was damaged (minor) during cleaning (let's face it, accidents happen) JCS took care of the problem very quickly and had it professionally repaired immediately with apologies. It was EXEMPLARY customer service. We are very pleased and HIGHLY recommend JCS.
