The rental was difficult to rent because of the size of the yard. We got multiple bids. HIS Concepts was not the cheapest, but his references were great. They showed up on time, installed a great system and followed up during the summer and came out and blew the systems out without us calling them. The system worked on the first run and there was NO adjustments that needed to be done. The in-place renters we had agreed to an increase in rent and signed a new lease. They said that the great system helped them decide to stay because they loved the big yard but not the upkeep time.
Description of Work: HIS Concepts installed a sprinkler system at one of my rentals in May 2013

He was not the lowest bid, but we hired him because he sold us on his quality and knowledge. Terrible decision. He located 9 valve boxes within 2 feet of our basement windows. I questioned it, but he gave me some answer that made sense. While on vacation one of the valves popped off and flooded our basement with water. We cleaned it up, took out all the carpet. Never asked him for a dime. Then when I asked him to move the boxes away from the foundation he wanted to charge me more money. So he asked us to dig the trenches to move all the lines...which we did...so we did not have to pay him any more money. He was doing such a bad job with open wires in the ground...We asked him to leave and hired a great company to come complete the job at a cost of 1200.00. When the new wonderful company began doing work, his manifold was so poorly done, we had to build a new one. The new company we hired was Northstar but the owner retired. Hope this helps folks not go to through what we went through. We are still dealing with poor quality materials and have been redoing heads one at a time. On our irrigation pump he actually added pvc pipe to galvanized metal with purple drip marks. We have since replaced it with nice standard green flex pipe in green and galvanized fittings. Again, redoing his poor work.
Description of Work: Installed 12 stations of sprinkler and drip line. 9 of the valves were using irrigation canal water.

He came out and installed the drip line and 2 weeks later I noticed that there was standing water behind my hedge. There was 3 inches of standing water that lined up with the 3 sprinklers he had moved. I had him out 4 times to fix this problem, after time 4 I had to fix it myself. My sprinklers were spraying in different directions and the last 30 feet of my hedge was not getting water. He charged me every time he came out and charged me for parts twice. He never did resolve the sprinkler issue. He was rude and unprofessional and did a crappy job. I would never recommend him to anyone.
Description of Work: I had a drip line installed around my 38 arborvitae hedge and 3 sprinkler heads moved in my back yard.
