FISHER'S VACUUM VILLA

Left my Kenmore upright vacuum with Fisher's on Oct 28. The shop was dingy with a light fixtures that were not working or burnt out. It did not inspire confidence, but an office mate had recommended Fishers. A week later I called, and Fishers said she hadn't gotten to it yet. Weekly calls and each time there were plenty of promises and excuses, but no repairs on my vacuum. The week of November 11 I called many times and the phone was never answered. On November 20, I went to the shop. The closed sign was up during business hours, but she let us in claiming that the closed sign was accidental. There were many vacuums lined up for repairs. When I asked about mine, she said it was difficult dealing with Sears. When I asked why she didn't answer the phone, she said she is always on the phone. Argh. I took my unrepaired vacuum and left. I called Abbotts and they saidthey can have it fixed in about a week. That sounds mighty good, even though I will have to drive out to Nampa.

I never heard from her, even after I called her, leaving a detailed message. So after a month, I stopped in to ask if my part was in. She had no recollection at first. Then she did, and claimed that she could not find the part and she was waiting to hear back from another company. She took my info again and adamantly promised she'd call me that day to let me know what to expect. Once again, I did not hear back. Two days later, I ordered it online. I have my part, and still no word from the owner.
