carpet cleaners
+ -1 moreHe cleaned the carpets and they look wonderful. I thought I needed to replace some of the carpet, but no -- now that they are clean they are fine. Interestingly, they are softer than previous cleaners. I had used a place with "Chem" in their name and the carpets came out stiff. And, the cost was double what Diversified charged. A few suggestions: 1. Have the carpets cleaned in the summer, with the temps above 72. This way you can open the house up and the carpets will dry faster. 2. Have the carpets cleaned in the morning. When finished, go to a movie and that way you won't walk on the carpets until they are dry. The damp carpets are a bit annoying but if you following my suggestions, you won't have to deal with that.
Description of Work: Larry introduced himself, asked what I needed. After showing him the house, he took measurements and gave me a quote. I agreed and he proceeded to clean the carpet. I asked him for details on what he was doing -- the process -- and he explained everything, He pretreats the carpets then uses "hot water extraction" so the carpets will be a bit damp when he's done and they can't be walked on for 3 hours. Complete drying will take 8 hours depending on the house temperature.
