Our home is beautiful and we are absolutely thrilled! Professional, thorough, detail oriented, loves what he does and it shows! The walls of our home are exquisite and the trim and baseboard gleam with a depth of color I never thought possible. It is gorgeous! I found Dave on Angie's List. He began painting in mid-August and finished late August. We then had new flooring installed that was backordered and delayed until October. As soon as it was laid, Dave came back and installed the baseboard and finished October 19. We just couldn't be more pleased and we have asked Dave to return in the spring to paint the exterior of our home! Thanks Dave! And thank you Angie's List!

The project was long because it was such a big job. Every square inch of wall except the pantry was painted. This included the garage. My home Interior looks beautiful. It looks like it was a custom paint job not just "blow and go. " the attention to detail on the little things was outstanding. Dave and Dawn were so professional and friendly. They were exceedingly careful with all my belongings and Dave was outstanding with keeping organized and tidy. They made the project as low stress as possible. Dave was prompt and reliable and went the extra mile pointing out any items that I may have not noticed. The walls look so pretty and creamy and perfect sometimes I just sit and stare. Most importantly the process felt like I was dealing with friends who were honest and open. They were so amazing they took my little special dog for pinkle breaks. If you want a professional job Dave is the best. Hands down the best. No surprises. Outstanding value. Top notch primo work!

Dave's bid was a little higher than some of the other bids but I felt it was very fair for the work to be done. Even though we didn't use him, I will contact him again for any other work we need that he is qualified to do.

We contacted two companies from Angies list. One did not return our calls or emails. David immediately contacted us and came over to our house to look over our projects and gave us a bid. The bid was very reasonable and we had set a date with him to come to our home to perform the work. He called a day ahead to make sure we would be home at the prearanged time. When he arrived at the house, he was very considerate as to not get anything on any of the floors. He explained a lot of the process and answered any questions that were asked. He came to the house when he told us he would be there and left at a very reasonable time. David removed any small reminents of wallpaper and taped off the areas before beginning his work. He is very concerned with the quality of his work, no short cuts were taken and he researched the type of primer we needed to cover up any water base glue left over from the wall paper. He left his fans for us to vent out the house after he left. We would consider him a perfectionist in which he made sure everything was perfect and that we were happy with his work. We have already scheduled David for the next project of painting over the multiple bright colors on the walls and cellings of our other bedrooms in our house including the walls that were recently textured by him. We would recommend David for anything that he is willing to do. He is very confident in what he can and cannot do. I believe if he says he can do the job, he can.

The painters from David & Sons Company were fantastic. I saw the work they did elsewhere. They really do high quality work. They are very thorough. They pay attention to details. I would consider using them in the future.

Very prompt in getting back to me, great at communicating times and details, asks questions and is excellent at getting the details right. The job estimate was right on and in line with other painting jobs I've had done. He arrived on time and spent over four hours prepping the walls, including filling holes and gouges I didn't even know were there. He did an absolutely perfect job, and the walls and ceiling look better than when he started. In between, he noticed a bathroom mirror that needed to be rewired and hung, and did that. He's a perfectionist and meticulous about his work, no matter what the job.

I called Dave to get an estimate on what we wanted done and he got back to me the same day. Because we were needed the job done right away (because I am expecting a baby any day) he pushed out two other jobs that he had lined up that weren't as time sensitive and was able to start right away. The job was finished in the time he said it would be. I appreciated that he made kept the mess to a minimum. Things went very well overall.

It was a pleasure working with Dave. He is very professional, shows up on time, is clean and respectful. He is a perfectionist and his work is excellent. He has a variety of tools and can fix small problem things that he encounters wihile painting. He has an excellent eye for detail and will often suggest solutions to update an older home. In other words, he is more than a painter and a texturizer. He is a very good handyman. I found it alot more economical to have him fix things while he is here than hire an outside soursce. He was not intimidated to take on challenging woodworking like raising my table. His painting is top notch -- he removes light fixtures (instead of painting around them) , removes shutters, and paints clean lines. I highly recommend him. He is also trustworthy to be left alone in your home.

I have used Mr. Winter on several ocasions for painting and general handyman jobs. He has always done a good job. Does work on time. He is fully trusted as he did much of the recent work on my home while we were still in California waiting to sell our home there.

David Winter did an amazing job texturing the ceiling in my kitchen. The house was built in the 1950s and numerous remodels and foundation settling had resulted in the ceiling sloping in different directions and cracking in several places. In about six hours David took an eyesore and created a real showpiece knock-down texture. With the addition of can lighting it really is now the highlight of the kitchen. His price was very reasonable, I believe it was $100 labor plus materials. I would highly recommend David.

David is professional, reliable and courteous. He communicates well and took time to meet with our other contractors and designers and make sure that the project was coordinated, even recommending some subs. David carefully researched which primers, paints and additives would provide the finish we wanted. He was flexible and patient and went out of his way to be helpful, even leaving his shop vac for other contractors to use. He took all of our (1947) cabinet doors & drawers and refinished them in his shop, and refinished the main cabinet structures in place. There's still some touch-up to do after everyone else is done with their portion of the work, but we're almost done and it looks great.

David is very creative and easy to work with.

David did a great job repainting the chips. He also modified the door hinges to prevent damage to door/crown molding in the future. He performed this additional work without us having to ask.

David Winter was very courteous, reliable & professional. He recently moved to Boise from Southern CA where he painted expensive houses with custom finishes. He does excellent work and I have recommended him to my friends and will use him again for future work. He will also do some handyman work, if needed.

We were recommended to Dave through a interior designer in Meridian, Idaho. We called him for an estimate and he was very timely in coming to our home and providing us with an estimate. Dave painted our home the next week while we were on vacation. We came home so happy and pleased with his work. We did decide to paint a few additional walls and he did these right away. He provided us with a bill and some extra tips that would benefit our home. Again, he was very timely, responsive to our phone calls and questions, and trustworthy. We will use him again and refer him to our friends and family.
