Response from Boise CleanPro
Dr. [Member Name Removed] puchased a 3-hour Angie's List house cleaning deal. This is the same deal we've been running for several years through AL. We use AL wording, modified very little as AL has strict guidelines and prefers to use what they know will sell well. Dr. [Member Name Removed] appeared to be upset because although the deal is, very specifically, a 3 hour cleaning, it also uses the word "thorough". Dr. [Member Name Removed] chose to interpret "thorough" as deep cleaning the whole home versus acknowledging that she was purchasing 3 hours of labor to thoroughly clean what can be done in 3 hours. In an email, she accused us of illegal activity, bait and switch, threatened us with the BBB said she had "turned us in" to AL. We are very sorry that out of hundreds sold, this one person reacted so negatively when we tried to go through her priorities and determine how best to use the 3 hours she had purchased. It's important to note, through years of experience with AL reps setting up deals for us, no AL rep has ever constructed a deal that was purposely misleading. We use the verbiage suggested and only modify it if we see a direct conflict or something we know we cannot provide. As is very common in the industry (confirmed by looking at other home cleaning company's deals) 3 hours is very standard for 1 kitchen and 2 bathrooms, which is what we usually suggest to a 3 hour purchaser. Of course, we also make sure clients know they can use the 3 hours any way they like, it doesn't have to be 1 kitchen and 2 bathrooms, it just has to be only 3 hours. When we have extra time, we find something else to do. We would never leave, having provided less than 3 hours. We did not lie. We don't lie. We've been in business 12 years and certainly have not gotten here by being anything but honest and providing a valuable service to clients that we genuinely care about.
