They took the time to collaborate with us on design ideas, making sure the final result was exactly what we envisioned. We could not be more pleased with the results that Art of the Earth and Kody Neighbors accomplished with our backyard. We had a vague idea and concepts of what we would like to have in the backyard. Kody listened and fairly quickly came up with a conceptual plan that blended what we wanted with his experience with designs that are easy to maintain along with a comprehensive bid. Kody’s crews were great to work with, always showed up punctually and were very considerate. And best of all, they did an amazing job. The designed detailed removing the entire backyard and then installing quite a bit of pavers to maximize seating areas, with gardens, raised garden beds and a rose garden included. We met fairly frequently during the job (which had a duration of 6-7 weeks) and Kody was great at listening to our concerns and/or suggestions and making adjustments to the plan. We could not be more pleased with the results and would highly recommend Art of the Earth and Kody Neighbors.

AOTC did a great job putting in a 'fairy garden' on the north side of my house. From my first meeting with Kam to the final product (finished up very late - thank you Camden!) I am highly pleased and got exactly what I wanted. Kam saw my vision immediately, and he, Kai and Camden put in stepping stones, a flagstone patio, and beautiful plants to create a rustic retreat from the urban heat. I can highly recommend this company, and will definitely call them again for my next landscaping project. Communication once the job started was excellent, the team worked very hard, were pleasant and professional, high attention to detail and a very fair price.

We had a great experience with the Art of the Earth team, from the design with Kam to the installation with Hernon and Jose. We had a complete installation from re grading to the selection and installation of the plants and grass. We would strongly recommend their services.

Kody is truly gifted with the ability to visualize what a space could become! He had designed our side yard with a water feature and several trees, shrubs and flowers a few years ago, and it has grown in nicely. More recently, he designed and planted our front yard. He chooses plants that look beautiful and thrive in our climate. He has integrity, communicates well, shows up when he says he will and charges a fair price. We couldn't be happier with our new backyard! We moved into our dream house a year ago with a big issue, the backyard was a mess! Kody and the crew delivered our dream backyard to match the house! From his initial walkthrough, to his vision and final design, Kody is truly a master at his craft. He, and the crew, constantly checked in to see if the progress was what we were hoping and willing to absorb our input to make our dreams come true. Everyone was extremely polite and hard working and we would recommend this company to anyone and everyone looking to get the yard of their dreams.

I cannot say enough good things about Art of the Earth!!!! Kody, Cam, Josh, and Jose all worked on our massive and complicated project. They showed up each day, for several months, with smiles, positive attitudes, and worked incredibly hard. They maneuvered around other contractors, weird weather, and multiple other challenges. In addition, Kody and his crew worked thoughtfully through each phase and went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied. From moving and placing 1,000 lbs. boulders, to designing and laying an intricate sandstone patio- every portion of this project showed the breadth of skill and passion the owner, Kody, possesses. We can honestly say that we could not of had a more positive experience and are completely in awe of the end result!! We give Art of the Earth 10 out of 10, 5 stars, and two thumbs up!

Kody and his crew were the best contractors I have ever worked with. Always smiling worked so hard. i cannot say enough. They finished last week and we miss their smiling faces. As for the quality of their work above and beyond outstanding. They made my vision come to light. Kody mentors and in literally in the trenches working hard along side his crew. I overheard a lovely lady who worked so hard say on the phone â He is the best boss I have ever hadâ , Kody gave her a chance and she worked hard. Tried to get her to wear a hat to protect her face, lovely lady and all the crew were kind and again worked so hard. If you want something that others will love and enjoy, I would hire them again.

I would like to begin by thanking Kody Neighbors and his crew for the wonderful job they did in our front yard. Kody and his crew are very unique. They are trustworthy, honest, experienced, patient, kind, and always prompt! Kody is a master in his field of design. He has a calm way of listening to what we wanted and made suggestions within our design. He made all the difference in our outcome. We enjoy our waterfall and all the landscaping daily. I wish I could give Art of the Earth Landscaping 1,000 stars! (Sorry, this will be a very long review; but I genuinely canâ t say enough good things about Art of the Earth!!) Kody Neighbors is the owner of Art of the Earth Landscaping, and he is hands-down the most gifted & talented landscape designer I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He is truly an artist, and his canvas is the earth. Kody can see potential in even the ugliest of yards, and if you will just trust his vision, you will be rewarded with a jaw-dropping landscape. Kody and his amazing team, (Kaden, Josh, and Cam), are also the hardest-working and most dedicated young men I have ever met. Our backyard project was an epic undertaking, of â extreme home makeoverâ proportions, and the transformation left me simply speechless. I was blown away because it now looks so gorgeous! (I still canâ t believe this is really my backyard!) We had always wanted a low-maintenance yard, with a water feature, and an â Alpineâ feel to it â sort of like what you might expect to see at a fancy hotel inside a Canadian National Park. But beyond that, we didnâ t know exactly what we wanted, nor what was even possible. To help us get some design ideas, and a feel for what he could do, Kody took us around to 3 or 4 different projects that he had recently completed. That was incredibly helpful! And it was so reassuring to witness first-hand that every single one of his former clients was so glad to see him and greeted him enthusiastically â they treated him like family! With Kodyâ s design vision, we got our desired â alpine-lookingâ backyard, (with lots of big, tall trees & rocks); and not one, but TWO amazing waterfalls; a gorgeous stone patio; and a beautiful flagstone walkway. Kody created a backyard for us that is a serene oasis and is truly beyond our wildest dreams! Over the course of 5 very long, and very COLD weeks (October 31 â December 7, 2022), Kody & his team showed up bright & early every day and got straight to work. Not even bitter, blowing wind, nor ice, nor sleety rain, nor fresh snow could deter them. They forged ahead no matter how awful the weather was. (I felt so bad for them!) That kind of dedication is almost unheard of these days! Along with their extremely hard & back-breaking work each day, they always made time to fully clean up their job site, as well as out in front of our house (along the street) where their equipment was staged, each day. They always went that extra mile to be courteous & â good neighborsâ by trying hard to not block any of my neighborsâ driveways, and by carefully sweeping up any debris that was leftover at the end of each day. Then, they came back again just this spring (mid-April 2023), to finish up everything that couldn't be done last December, when the temperatures were still below freezing. (Sprinkler system repair, sealing the new stone patio, adding extra landscape lighting, etc.) I truly cannot say enough good things about Kody & his team at Art of the Earth. And after our project I, too, can genuinely say that Kody & his crew feel like family to me. The old adage really is true: you really DO get what you pay for. Art of the Earth is definitely not the cheapest company out there; but they really are the BEST. Kody is always booked out quite a ways, but he is SO WORTH the wait!! You will never regret hiring Kody and his team.

I love Art of the Earth! They transformed the west side of my driveway from dried up old grass to stone with flagstone pathways and sun worthy trees and bushes. They installed a paver back patio that now looks like an extension of my home! There are many companies in our valley that will get the job done, but I wanted more than completion. I wanted ideas, creativity, dependability, and connection. Kody and his team offered just that. If you want personal service, creative ideas, stellar customer service, dependability, efficiency, and doing a project right â you want Art of the Earth. I am so pleased with the outcome!! Kody and his team were great to work with. We toured some of his previous jobs in October, he met with us to discuss our wants and needs and had drawings to us within a few days. Because of the winter coming he started our job in February and was always on time and finished the job in 60 days. That may sound long but it was a very big project. They built a waterfall that is amazing and a stream that meanders through a lot of our backyard. Many trees, shrubs and plants went into the yard also, which was basically bare until they rescued us. I highly recommend Kody and Caitlin, they are awesome to work with.

My wife and I thought about doing a rear patio area and looked at several landscaping companies for ideas and bids. We had one company come out for an estimate but it seemed like they were more interested in how much we wanted to spend instead of offering ideas to enhance our backyard. We looked at our neighbor’s backyard that was recently completed by Art of the Earth and were impressed with the quality and design of the job. We decided right then to call them for a design and estimate. Kody and Caitlin came out on a Saturday to review our backyard, discuss what ideas we had, and what we wanted out of the project. They asked for our ideas and Kody provided his recommendations based on our needs and size of the yard. He gave us his thoughts on design and then asked about our budget. He was willing to work with us to make sure we didn’t exceed our budget. The thought of helping us stay within our budget comfort level impressed us. When we received his design, it was a little difficult to visualize on paper how this would look in the end. But by the end of completion, we couldn’t be happier. Kody has a great eye for design and we are throughly impressed on how our backyard came out. Initially, we were only planning on a rear patio area with a few plantings. When it was complete, we ended up with a patio, seating wall, rock bubbler, landscape lighting and several quality plantings. We are happy that we added a “few” extra items that made the yard amazing. Kody and his crew of Kaden, Josh, Elliot and Alex were great. They were always on time and always made sure they cleaned up before leaving for the day. What’s great is that you’ll notice that Kody works side by side with his team. He’s not the type of boss to just stand around and bark orders. He works with his team shoulder to shoulder, providing guidance and teaching them his techniques. So if we were to do this all over again, the decision would be simple, Art of the Earth. Thanks Kody and team!

Iâ d like to share the 100% positive experience we had working with Kody and his team at Art of the Earth, which transformed our backyard from ordinary to extraordinary. We couldnâ t be happier with the results. We first met with Kody and his wife, Caitlin, in April, just after we moved in to our new home in Meridian. It had some bare bones, builder provided landscaping, but we wanted to create a more enjoyable backyard experience. We wanted an extended paver patio area, a water feature, gas fire pit and BBQ, patio cover incorporated into a new landscape design. Kody got back to us very quickly with a creative plan, and a detailed estimate, including the plants, trees, ground cover, paver patio, electrical work, modifying the existing irrigation system, putting in the gas line, patio cover through ShadeWorks, etc. Kody has an excellent reputation, so he gets booked during the season very quickly. The earliest availability was late September and was estimated to take about 4 weeks. Kodyâ s plan included taking down a section of our corner lot fence, gaining access through existing HOA landscaping to grade, add topsoil, boulders, bring in large trees, pavers, etc. I was concerned that I might get some resistance from my HOA, but after submitting Kodyâ s plan, the HOA approved everything in less than a week! One of the best things about working with Kody was that he is personally involved in the project from start to finish. That means you will see the owner of the company on site, daily, working with his team to take care of every detail to make your yard into a place where you can entertain, or just chill and enjoy the space. Itâ s easy to get answers to any questions during the project or updates on timelines. Kody also shared some additional ideas as the project was progressing that were spot on and took everything to another level. We loved his creativity and vision. The project was a solid 4 weeks of 5 days a week, 9-5 (sometimes after 5). All members of Kodyâ s team were outstanding, conscientious and personable. After the project was completed, Kody did a thorough job restoring the HOA landscaping and fence. Kody power washed the street, sidewalks and gutters to clean up any residue of landscaping material so everything ended up cleaner than when he started. You will always feel like you are his number one priority. Communication was outstanding and always timely, whether it was in the initial meeting, getting a plan and an estimate, after giving the deposit, or while Kody and his team are actively working on the project. There was never a day when we had to wonderâ ¦where are Kody and the Art of the Earth team? All you had to do was look in the back yard. Our sincere thanks and appreciation for Kody and his entire team for a great experience and a wonderful landscape that we can now enjoy.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Art of the Earth was terrific from beginning to end. Kody was always responsive to any phone calls and emails while we were in the planning stages and they consistently cared about every little detail all throughout the landscaping project. They were so customer oriented and they wanted to make sure we were pleased and we were! We HIGHLY recommend Art of the Earth!

What an absolutely superb company. If you want to hire the best, look no further. They created a superb water feature with new landscaping and rock in three days next to our entryway. The work was absolutely top notch, and beyond expectations. Professional from beginning to end, Kody, Kaydon and the rest of the crew work hard and obviously enjoy what they're doing. If you are looking for the best landscaper in the Treasure Valley, search no more, you have arrived! Kody and his team at Art of the Earth were fantastic! We wanted to level a berm and put a patio for our new firepit. As someone who can barely tell a tree from a bush, Kody's expertise really stood out. He walked us through so many great options of what trees, bushes, shrubs, rocks, and colors to consider given the size, scope, and amount of sun exposure our yard gets for the project. It seemed our questions were never ending yet Kody always had great answers and even better suggestions. In addition to the patio, we told Kody we wanted a flag stone path to our hot tub with some stone steps. WOW! It's only been 1 week since completion and everyone who comes over compliments how great the pathway looks. Kody's team was always on time, professional, and always cleaned up after a days work. You can tell these guys really love their jobs! Prior to meeting Kody, we thoroughly interviewed several landscapers for the job. Many asked us exactly what we wanted and the interactions were more transactional rather than consultative. When Kody met us for our first appointment, we told him a vague outline of what we wanted but us being landscape neophytes, didn't have a clear cut idea of where we wanted every boulder, every bush, every tree, or even what kind of tree's we wanted. This is where Art of the Earth shines. Kody's extensive knowledge of horticulture helped us refine and hone in our vision and create a backyard space that we love today and will love for many years to come.
