During escrow for our purchase of this home, the owner's dishwasher overflowed causing damage to the kitchen wood floors. Replacement of these wood floors was required to close escrow. The owner hired Tom Salter of Salter's Final Finish to perform this work. This work was guaranteed. When we moved into the home the wood in some of the areas had separated from the adjoining wood strips and some wood strips were cupping. The seller's realtor contacted Mr. Salter and he said that he would come out in two weeks (the end of September 2007) to look at the floors. He did not contact us so we ultimately had to call him to get him to come. He kept telling us to call him back in 30 days and when we did call he had one excuse after another to further delay his appointment. When he finally arrived he acknowledged that repair was required but did not arrive with any tools to make those repairs. He said that there was still moisture in the underlying base so would have to come back when the floors were dry enough to repair. I had to call him again to get him to come as he wouldn't agree on a date to return during his visit. The second time he came he arrived again with no tools. He said the floors were now too dry! Again I was told to call him back after 30 days. When I called him more than 30 days later I told him that I needed to arrange a date when he would arrive with tools in hand to do the required repair. He was to come at 10:00am on Wednesday, June 18th. He never appeared. When I called him at the end of the day he said that he had forgotten about the appointment. The floors have never been repaired as guaranteed and promised.
Description of Work: Mr. Salter tore out damaged wood kitchen flooring, let the floors dry, installed red oak replacement wood flooring, sanded and finished new wood flooring and applied a second coat of finish.
