Horribly. We are having the pergola removed and the damages created repaired by another contractor. We are uncertain as to how much damage has been caused by the poor installation.
Description of Work: Anthony designed and built a pergola to cover our deck. It ended up significantly different than we had discussed. With the first wind, the cover began to sway, which he said was necessary. With the next windy day, the pillars began to come out of the decking floor and floor joists. We agreed to allow him to attempt to repair this and he began about 2 weeks after he stated that he would. He then abandoned the project, leaving a 2x4 brace and ropes to stabilize the structure, tying it to the deck railing. He left tools and equipment for weeks on end without telling us when he would be returning. On an earlier project, the weatherstripping he was hired to install is also still incomplete. He is very pleasant on the phone but unable, or unwilling, to perform the services that he sells.

I really appreciated that every time I called Anthony he told me I was his first priority when he finished the job he was presently working on. He strung me along like this for three weeks, since I didn't want to find a different contractor since I was this guy's first priority, right? Meanwhile all my living room and dining room furniture is packed into the bedrooms to keep the work area clear for him. Since he never called me I now realize he never intended to perform the service he had bid on.
Description of Work: This contractor was a no-show. I called him on the last day of April when I was ready for him to install my new baseboards. When I had spoken to him the previous Saturday he said he was free the first week of May, but it turned out he got a job that would take most of that week. So I called him the following Thursday and he said the job was bigger than he thought and he would probably be able to do it, tentatively, the following Wednesday, and that I was first priority on his list. When I didn't hear from him on that day, I called and he said he planned to do it the following Monday. I asked him to call me the night before if he wasn't going to be able to make it. So when he didn't call that night I thought he would be here Monday morning so I went to bed early and got up at 7 AM and I waited all day. He never showed up and I haven't heard from him since. That kind of behavior makes no sense to me because if he didn't want the job he could have just told me first off that he had other jobs lined up for weeks, instead of stringing me along. That way I could have found another contractor instead of waiting for this turd.
