This project was "cut your losses" from the beginning. A lot of promises that the floor would be great when in fact it is wavy, laden with hairs of the person finishing the floor. Baseboards were not removed so the floor could be sanded completely. This left a gap between the baseboard and the newly sanded floor - which was filled with caulk. They said this was standard procedure, yet nowhere on the web could I find one site that said caulking was a standard practice. The result is I cannot remove the baseboards for replacement because any baseboard will sit higher than the sanded floor. We were rushed out of the hotel we were staying in (at manufacturer's expense) much to soon as the smell of the finish was nearly unbearable. Again, research on the internet showed that the chemical smell was unhealthy and needed to cure for more time than we were given. There are places where the final coat of finish was missed, leaving it more dull than the rest of the floor. There are circular sanding marks showing on the floor. We were told they were from the buffing and would disappear in time. They caulking that was done is two different colors (a yellowed white followed by white). The painting and calking of the baseboards is just plain sloppy. We have numerous pictures of all of the above.
Description of Work: Provided warranty work on a floor Bell Hardwood installed approximately one year ago. The floor shrunk to unacceptable standards and Bell Hardwood Floors and the manufacture provided warranty work to fix the floor. The floor was pre-finished and extensive sanding was required to remove the finish and the micro groove.
