Judd Penney was first class. He came when he said he would, he worked almost non-stop, except for lunch breaks, and took on extra tasks as they presented themselves, in order to help me get the farm ready for winter. Aside from doing excellent work, he is a pleasure to work with. Every project he took on during the three days he was here was done professionally and the results were of very high quality. He clearly takes pride in his work. He is also a very nice guy and it was a pleasure to have him working here. Judd brought an assistant with him who worked non-stop on the eaves of the porch roof, designing solutions for a difficult project, since there were very many openings between the porch beams, each of which needed to be sealed. Judd and his assistant devised a very clever way to get the job done, and the finished work was of very high quality. While his assistant was working on the porch roof, Judd walked around the farm with me, telling me about how he would address various problems. He also looked at the house itself and helped me to understand what was new and what was original in this hundred and thirty year old house with many additions and renovations. As I had just bought the house, and the various things that were needed seemed somewhat daunting to me in a part of the country that was new to me, he patiently took me through the various things that were needed in order to prepare the farm for winter. He advised me about what was most important and helped me set priorities. Judd is very talented, and although he is a carpenter first and foremost, he had no problem helping me address other issues, such as the leaks in the greenhouse, and various issues with a few of the out buildings, the most urgent of which he addressed immediately. It was a pleasure working with him and I plan to use his services extensively over the next few years as we put this farm into shape. I would recommend him highly to anyone who wants quality work and a nice guy to do it.

Both projects turned out beautiful. We are so happy with the finished work. Judd was very attentive and kept me informed every day of the work being done. He gave great suggestions when we needed them and answered all our questions. We will definitely have him back for any future projects we may have.
