they were exceptional in service, performance and courtesy. The final product was better than expected. The "finish" work was the best. We had a concern regarding the replacement molding on a very large picture window and they replaced all the molding with no complaint. They are the best rehabilitation/renovation firm I have ever worked with, bar none.

We had all our windows replaced at our old home a year ago and our utilities dropped in half. We moved into our new home and we have some Pella windows on about half of the house and needed to replace the rest, so I called Amanda at Renewal and had Dave come out and give us an estimate for the remaining windows and a door with a storm also. We then scheduled the installation and Craig came out to install everything. It took three days, everything was very professional. The windows look great, and the entire group at Renewal are very professional and really do a great job. I had compared various companies on our last home before installing Renewal and for the money, Renewal was far better.

Work was completed on time and was well done.

It was easy to get an appointment. They were on schedule and did a neat job. We were impressed with the quality and look of the materials. They were also referred by friends who had window work done. I had a good experience. I didn't have any problems. However, the price was a little higher than I would have hoped.

I called the store to request information and they were able to get Mark scheduled to come to my house for an estimate within a couple of days. We received our quote the next day and we went into the store to see the windows. We had to wait over a month for the windows to come in which was what we heard from all the window companies we interviewed. The window installers were incredibly professional and cleaned up everything. If it wasn't for the new windows we wouldn't have known they were there! I hope to replace more windows in the future and will definitely use them again.

It just hasn't gone well. First, we had to have our window frames repainted and touched-up twice. Now, most all of the paint has chipped off the frame. Ironically, our 2nd floor windows (16 years old) have the paint in tact. I had a problem with condensation, and the response was to send me a phamplet. But, what's most disappointing is that our windows aren't sealed properly. We aren't able to sit in our living room in the winter because of the drafts. If the rain pours from a certain direction, it rains through our closed back door onto the inside door. And, we can hear our neighbors' children outside playing - which I mention because their house and our house has more than an acre inbetween them. I've certainly told people about my experiences.

I needed a bathroom window for a shower that had to be waterproof on the inside. I stopped in at the showroom in W Des Moines. They were very nice and professional. They gave me a couple of options and promised me it was ok to get wet. Installation took awhile, but I wasn't in any hurry. The guys that came were also very nice. We probably had 2 feet of snow on the ground, but nothing fazed them. They did a great job of finishing and caulking. I was impressed. It was an expensive window, but overall, I'm very pleased and will replace future windows with Anderson when my finances permit.

We received our estimate within a few days. Because of the people we met at Renewal, their product, and the guarantee, we ordered our windows and took our place on the installation list. Between the order date, manufacturing and installation, it required two months. I had tons of questions and made many changes in our order before it was sent and Amanda was very gracious, prompt, and helpful. It was our luck that during the week of the install (right on target), the temperature was in the high 90's. Jerry and his crew (Ian and Nate) never complained, were always on time, were very courteous, took care to keep our home in good repair, cleaned up after the work each day, and did an excellent job. They worked half days which is understandable (and smart) with that kind of heat, and finished in the week they said it would require. I don't know what I was thinking, but I hadn't taken the time to choose the interior casing for the windows until the day before they were ready to do the work. I didn't want the standard colonial casing. Even with the short notice, the guys didn't fuss AT ALL. Mark located the casing and had it on site the next day. (Sorry for the rush job, Mark.) They installed a beautiful Craftsman style casing using three different species of lumber and it came out looking drop-dead gorgeous! Dave Steffes had offered to deliver the casing early so that I could get it primed and sanded which would have been the smart thing to do. I have since painted the casing made of poplar and stained the patio door made of maple. The finished result is exactly what I had hoped for. Now I need to change the colonial casing in the rest of the house to Craftsman and they are helping me get the same profiles that were used on the windows. You won't be disappointed with Renewal by Anderson and the Steffes group. Replacement windows is all they do and they do it extremely well. (Did I mention that I am a woodworker and I have high expectations?) These are the good guys.

Very friendly, no pressure salesperson. Showroom available to see product firsthand. Project completed in estimated time. Professional installers. Good followup by crew chief. One piece wasn't available, but was installed within a reasonable time.

The first job I did with Mark. It went exceptionally well. Mark advised me on the options available and made sure the measurements were all correct, we were doing a full 2-story house and coordinating with a siding company. I also wanted to cut into a wall and have a 3-wide window installed to increase the light. Mark worked with the window installer to design this window. This windows was my joy every day when I arrived home. It was so beautiful, fit the style of my home and was quite impressive in the home. Mark also recommend the installers and he was completely correct with how professional they were. Mark is a trusted adviser and he is with a company that has wonderful products and customer service. Hands down, if you are going to spend your hard earned money, talk to this guy!!!
