Description of Work: Kesterson Appraisal should be disbarred. They do shotty work and are certified idiots that don't know the market they appraise and don't know a good real estate comp from a bad one. They are not detail oriented and missed all of the home upgrades on the appraisal they did which severely hurt our valuation. It is hard to imagine that our house went down in value so much after only a year or so from our last appraisal, and after upgrades were made...hmmmm...kind of fishy. This guy needs to go back to Fairway and be a shift manager (which the idiot actually put on his list of credentials to being an appraiser!!!).

+ -1 moreHe seemed to take his time walking around and looking the property over and seemed as though he was experienced. He took notes and did all the things I'd expect an appraiser to do. I gave him a check for $350 before he left and it was cashed within a couple of days. Five or six days later, someone from his office called saying he'd been busy and I should expect the report in another week. When I still didn't have anything (verbal or written) back from him (another week later) , I called the office and asked for my money back. I don't know if he was too busy to perform the written task or he just didn't know how to assess it, but whatever the issue, it pushed out my selling date another month as I had to get another appraiser back out to do the same thing. No, I was very annoyed and wouldn't recommend this company.
Description of Work: The appraiser came out at the appointed time on a Tuesday to survey and provide a property value. He appraised the property (or I assume he did) and said he'd have a report back to me by the end of the week. Two weeks later when I still didn't have the report, I called the office and asked for my money back which they promptly mailed back.
