I called them on Friday and scheduled a technician for mid-morning on Saturday. They called to let me know he was on his way about 20 minutes before he arrived.. He was dressed very neatly and put shoe covers on before entering our home. I explained what the problem was and he immediately went to work. As it turned out, all we needed was to caulk around the fixtures in the tub. He let us know we could do it ourselves or he could do it for us. We chose to have him do it while he was there. He was very professional and nice. We definitely would call Holt Plumbing again and highly recommend them.

I liked the person who performed the service but discovered that he attempted to flush paper towels and waste from bathroom repair down the toilet. The toilet clogged and he left without mentioning it to me. Also, the $350 device installed on the water line to cure my calcification problem has had no impact on my water pressure issue. I was told it would remove the mineral build-up from my faucet and it apparently has not.

It went well however I've decided to go with another vendor due to product value.

The plumber showed up and was polite, helpful, fixed everything, explained what to do in the future to avoid similar issues, and was even friendly to our dogs and kids.

It went well, a normal, repair project, that if I could solder, I would have fixed myself. However, I should have asked how much the part was before they came. It was $218!!!. I could have bought one anywhere for 50-$75 dollars. Wholesale cost on this 8" silcock is around $35. I understand making a profit on parts, but 7-8 times over cost on a part is rediculous! Nice work good people, but priced way to high. Probably will find someone else in the future.

It went very well and only took a couple of hours. I had a good discount coupon which helped. Great price.

Good service, fair price. Ideally they would also provide recommendations for fixing drywall damage as a result of leak.

They were on time, gave me an estimate as a final charge, and promptly did the work in a clean manner.

I had a mixed experience with this company. To be fair, our house was build in the 1950's and much of the original plumbing was done by a previous home owner. Also, our furnace, AC, and water heater were 20-30 years old. Due to the old appliances, Holt sent out one of their more experienced HVAC/plumbers to provide an estimate on all the work. He seemed very knowledgeable and explained exactly what need to be done. They then sent out one of their sales staff to provide us with the estimate based on what models we wanted to purchase for the installation. The sales pitches were pretty cheesy, and I wasn't overly impressed with the prices offered, but they were in the ballpark (often you get what you pay for), and I wanted the job done right. We asked for financing, which is done by a third party, and there seemed to be a lot of miscommunication between Holt and the finance company. We even had to resign the paperwork a few days later, because it wasn't filled out correctly. After the paperwork was squared away, Holt arrived at our house a few days later in the morning with 3 vans and about 5 workers. I was at work all day, but my wife was home while they were there. My wife had to tell plumber about removing the basement toilet and line connecting it. Apparently, that info got lost between the sales/office people. When I got home, we still heard them working in the basement. Around 7pm, the HVAC guys told us they were done, and asked if we'd like to see, which we did. They did a very good job installing the furnace and AC and showed us how to operate it and where the instructions were. Now for the bad part. The plumber had apparently left before I arrived home and didn't tell my wife anything. While we were down there I noticed that the line the plumber removed (which had run in front of the electrical panel) had been removed and capped. However, the cap he soldered on was dripping on the electrical panel!!! The HVAC guys installed a temporary plastic tube from the leak to a drain, so that a plumber could return later to fix it. Before the HVAC guys left, I thought to myself that I should test to make sure we actually had hot water. The kitchen was fine with hot and cold water. The bathroom sink had hot water only. The bathroom toilet and tub had no water unless I turned on the sink's hot and cold water valves, and even then they only got hot water. The HVAC guys didn't know what was wrong with the plumbing, and their office offered to call in their after-hours plumber. That was appreciated. When I found out it would take around 2 hours for him to arrive, I declined and said they could return the next day. The next day the same plumber that installed the water heater arrived. Immediately, he suggested that my water lines might be clogged and he might have to discuss pricing to fix them. Not what I wanted to hear since it all worked before he arrived the previous day. After about a half an hour, he discovered that when he removed the basement toilet and the line connecting the basement toilet and water heater to the rest of the plumbing, he hooked it back up incorrectly. There was no cold water to the bathroom and by turning on the hot and cold water at the bathroom sink it allowed hot water to flow through the sink and to the bathroom toilet and tub. So, he did find problem, fixed it, and did not charge us as it fell under warranty. We were told we would be contacted to have our furnace calibrated. After a couple of weeks, we called them and the office staff informed us that they left a voicemail asking to setup a date and time. If that phone call was made, I never got the voicemail. So, we had one of their HVAC guys back out to calibrate the furnace. He happened to notice that the previous plumber had installed a natural gas water heater. We have propane!!! I'm very glad he spoke up and said something, as we probably would have never noticed. So that is some much appreciated honesty. The next day Holt cam back out, removed the natural gas water heater and installed a propane water heater at no charge. Overall, I think Holt is a good company with some really competent HVAC and plumbers. Clearly, between the one plumber and the sales/office staff, there is room for improvement.

Really good. James, the person who helped me, was socialable and very professional. Normally, I feel awkward with strangers in my house, but he was a cool guy. Even put stuff over his shoes so he would not track dirt on my carpet. Really impressed.

I'd called for service for my water heater that is only approximately three years old. I was grateful that they had an opening on a Sunday and was hopeful I could get the issue corrected without missing work. They were good about calling to tell me when the tech would arrive. Once he was here, he didn't ask any questions. He stood and looked at the water heater without touching it and said "I know what the problem is - there's dust in your intake". I explained that I clean it regularly with a toilet brush and showed him the brush and how i do it as i'd been instructed, but he said that that was the problem and he'd do a better job and use a vacuum underneath to solve the problem. I was grateful he was there and he gave me an estimate within a few dollars of the above amount. He was here for almost an hour and said it was working fine. I felt the flue which felt hot, but there was no hot water. He said it will take several hours to heat up and it should be fine. I waited three hours, but there was still no hot water, so i called back to place another service call. They called me back the next morning and i explained my experience and that I was disappointed since I'd told the tech that I do regularly clean the intake from the bottom with a brush. He had not looked to even see if there was any dust, just immediately told me that was my problem. In the meantime, I'd found a receipt from two years before for $97 to perform the exact same service. After THAT service, the problem wasn't fixed and I still had problems and called another plumber who agreed that the intake assembly does need cleaned, but it was something I could/should do myself and he showed me how. He then fixed the real problem for a reasonable amount. Unfortunately I didn't call the second plumber this time and was disappointed that i had the exact same scenario happen to me again. When I explained the issues to "Jess" at the office, she said that the service is not guarranteed and the cleaning needed to be done reguardless. I assured her that I did clean it on a regular basis and that the tech actually used my brush to do it himself, but she didn't care. I asked if there would be any allowance for this call if I scheduled another repair, but she said no. I told her i'd complete the satisfaction card with that info and she said "Please do". I did call back to get Jess' name and talked to Julie who apologized and asked if she could look into the problem a little bit more and call me back. That was atleast comforting and I appreciated someone listening who seemed to care.

He came out all most immediately and was finished right on time. He cleaned up the mess that was made and explained in detail what was done. The weren't the cheapest, but I don't think it could have been done much better, with the exception the vertical pipe ended up about 3inches too far from the wall. I now have a 3 inch gap between the wall and the tank. It works nonetheless.

We have been happy with them. They are very thorough and come exactly when they say they’re going to come. Our systems have been operating very well since they are maintaining them.

They were very responsive. They worked long hours to get the job done in one day. Their price was reasonable.

We had a problem with water leaking from the base of one of our toilets. I did not have time to work on it myself so I used Angie’s list to find a plumber and do the repair work. The person that did the work was very friendly; he arrived at our designated appointment time and was able to make it to the house the same day that we called. The work was done well and in a timely manner. I do feel that they are a bit more expensive than most. They will also try and sell you on a protection plan of sorts which will get you a certain number of inspections each year and a discount on their service. This is the only thing that really bothered me. it’s a personal preference but I feel that continued business should be earned not subscribed to. The 75 dollar fee just to come to the house seems high to me. however they had a coupon on Angie’s list for first time customers and that along with there already positive reviews is why I chose them in the first place. If you need a plumber fast and are willing to pay a bit more than normal these are the guys for top quality service.

I believe i covered that above. Everything went well from the time the installer showed up to remove/install my new furnace to them coming once a year to service my furnace.

We had a drain that had been slow for a long time. In order to fix it properly they had to use jack hammers in the basement, run a new line, and put a new vent up through the roof We were real pleased with their work and got their name off of Angie's List. They completed the job in three days. We never heard them say an unkind word to each other or us. They saw a couple little things in addition to what was in their bid that they went ahead and fixed on our furnace. We felt the price was fair for the work that they did.

The service was excellent. He told me that, if I took a service plan for my heating and air conditioning, the plumbing service would be included in the plan.

Zach & James were both very professional, answered questions and completed work well. We signed up for the EPA program.

Overall, it was a very good experience. The service tech was punctual and polite. He was very professional and gave some tips related to changing the filter on a regular basis. I signed up for a service contract for future needs and was very pleased with this company.

First visit they replaced a motor bracket, which broke while testing it. Further investigation found that the blower squirrel cage was deteriorating, causing an inbalance and vibration which broke bracket. He called his office and provided me an estimate for replacing the squirrel cage. Parts were ordered and a return visit was scheduled. Second trip they replaced the squirrel cage, and all is working well.

Great! They have been taking care of the mechanicals in my house for 2 years now and I am completely satisfied!

I found them on Angie's List and I was very satisfied with them. They were very courteous and very professional. They were expensive but you get what you pay for. They called and told me when they were delayed. They said that they would be a little bit delayed. They said that they would be there in 15 minutes but they were there in 10 minutes. They managed customer expectations properly which was a good thing.

We are completely pleased with the quality of work and the quality of the employees at Holt. If you are considering using them to do some work for you, it is our recommendation that you go ahead and hire them. They won't disappoint you.
