The air conditioning unit on my house wasn't working and I was wanting to replace with an energy efficient model. I would highly recommend H & H Heating. They had the best price and the best service. I had dealt with another company that didn't even show up to the estimate meeting without a call. H & H was right on time for both the estimate and actually doing the work. They were very efficient and got the work done in the time they told me and for the amount that they quoted me. Their employees that installed it took time to make sure I understood how to run everything as well as the whole house humidifier. I would deal with them again in a heart beat.
Description of Work: Replace an A/C unit with an energy efficient unit and add a whole house humidifier.

Overall my husband and I would NOT recommend H&H. We had several issues with H&H and their service. H&H was here on time, but didn't complete the job in the promised time. They took 5-7 days longer than promised. Durning the installtion process, I noticed that my freezer lid was dented. I called and noted it on my file, I was told that the insurance adjuster would come out and settle the claim. We NEVER saw or heard from their insurance adjuster, and the only way thay were were compensated for the freezer lid was to keep back funds when settling the final bill. Second problem- when we went to turn the furnace on in May 2010- we let it run over night and returned to the house in the morning, smelling gas. We shut the furnace off and called H&H. They did come to service the same day but realized that the gas union inside the furnace was NOT connected, leaking gas the entire night. After the realization that they could have blown up my house, we didn't call and ask where the bill was (we were promised a follow up visit when the installation was complete, this NEVER happened). Two and a half months later, the owner called up and was verbally abrasive with my husband demanding we pay the final bill. After agreeing to meet and discuss a settlement/agreement of some kind, we got a lot of lip service with promises of insurance adjusters and discussions with partners. Another 3 weeks passes before contact from the owner was made again. This time the discussions were even more abrasive- the owner even stated that he didn't need to speak with me (or in his words- "your wife") because I wasn't on the contract- though my name was on the contract. After the threat of a collection agency from H&H to get the remainder of the payment, we sought legal concil my husband and I did pay all but the cost of the freezer lid. Then came the cherry on it all- my husband went to hook up the waterline to the on furnance humidifier (10-30-10)- after some trouble shooting, he discovered that the humidifier was placed but not hooked up to the electronics of the furnace. I would think twice about requesting H&H to install and service any unit in your home, unless you have the patience and willingness to be abused by contractor hired to preform a service.
Description of Work: Furnance and air conditioner replacement. Consolidation of duct work to promote effieciency. Hook up of additional gas lines including a stove and fireplace. Hook up and verfication that existing humidifer worked. We were told that there would be follow up visits to make sure that all units worked and at their highest performance level.
