They ran a camera through my basement drain and told us where the blockage was that they couldn't get through. Hired another company to come out and dig up my yard to replace the tiles. Come to find out that's not where the problem was. It was at the end of the street. Called A1 back and they ran there machine again and couldn't fix the problem. Called Roto Rooter out and they fixed it. So I already had paid A1 for a misdiagnosed blockage and I had to pay the other company to fix something that wasn't broken and pay Roto Rooter. A1 would not refund me one cent for their misdiagnosis. WOULD NEVER USE AGAIN!

Called in the morning and was called back with an approximate time of arrival of 10-noon. got a call around 11am he was on his way. Stu the technician was prompt and quickly diagnosed the problem with out selling any up grade services and was done in about a half hour. any mess caused by his efforts were quickly cleaned up (minimal meet a few drops at most). My satisfaction was high and I would call him again.

it went fine - it literally took him under 5 minutes. I was a little disappointed in the $50 charge, but I understand they have a minimum service charge. I think he actually charged me less than the minimum.

Not well - the individual who came to clean the drain did drain it, but did not reconnect all parts that needed to be reconnected, thus, water was leaking from the trap. The plumber returned and tried to fix it, but was unable to do so. He tried to convince us that the pedestal sink needed to be removed to get to the leak! His hands were too big to reach ..... We called the main office several times, and no one followed up, there was supposed to be a discount which was never applied. We had to pay for two visits! Very unprofessional all in all. Will never use this company again and am glad there is finally a venue to express our dissatisfaction with the service and quality of work performed.

He was right on time and very friendly. He cleaned out the drain and then explained what I can do next time it starts to clog.

They arrived within an hour of my call. Extremely professional and courtes. Answered all my questions and gave advise for preventive maintenance.

Very professional and nice. Explained everything to me while he was running the camera through and marking locations. He offered to put plastic down and wear booties but my house was already dirty from water backing up so I told him not to worry about it. Would higher again for any future work.

My basement flooded due to a clogged sewer drain. A-1 cleared the roots and recommended I do it yearly unless I have the clay drain replaced. I have them back every year and they clear the drain. The are alway prompt and do the best they can to keep the area clean. No complaints.

An employee from A-1 came out (on-time), and had to contact the owner for the piece of equipment needed for the job, (to remove the tree roots blocking the drain). The owner showed up immediately! (What a surprise - in this day and age)! He knew exactly what to do, performed the job quickly, and professionally, and courtiously. And it was reasonably priced.

We woke up Sunday morning and discovered that the basement had flooded, and the source appeared to be somewhere in our downstairs bathroom (our washing machine sits in front of a lot of pipes, so it was actually hard to tell where the source was). We cleaned up the floors, and discovered that more water appeared after the upstairs bathroom was used. After cleaning up the floor again, we experimented with finding the source. None of the sinks contributed to the flooding, nor did the shower/bath tub upstairs. When we tried the downstairs toilet, it flushed just fine, and no water flooded. When the upstairs toilet was flushed, the water immediately spilled behind the washer from one of the pipes; there was no sound of the water traveling through the pipes, and no hesitation between the flush and the spilling water. After my husband went to the bathroom downstairs, the downstairs toilet overflowed, though. We called A-1 after looking for a good, affordable plumber. We were informed immediately upon calling that we would have to pay time and a half because it was Sunday, which we were more than okay with (their base hourly rate is $80.00). Originally, the plumber would come out at 3, but it ended up being 4:30, which we expected because we were called back around 2:00 by the secretary/dispatcher to inform us that the appointment he was currently at require installment of new parts, he had another appointment after that one before ours, and so he would be late. The communication in this regard was phenomenal. However, we were originally told that we could post-date a check for payment as a payment plan method, and then later (the second call) were told that we could not do that, so we ended up borrowing some money to cover it. Once the plumber was there, he was able to examine the situation, fix it, and put everything back where it had been within half an hour. It turned out to be an unknown blockage in the sewer line that the plumber suspected was caused by the way the pipes were installed; he said that it seemed like there was a gap in the line that could contribute to blockages, and which we would need to have looked at to avoid future problems. The plumber was polite, professional, and confident in what he was doing. We were incredibly well pleased with his work, and will definitely go through A-1 in the future.

Very professional and reliable. The gave me an estimate on their arrival and missed that by a few hours, but they said it was just a crazy day filled with big, complex jobs. Can't really fault them on that given their price and same day service.

We had a MAJOR blockage in the drain pipe that handles both our shower and kitchen sink... long story short, our shower was draining up and out of the kitchen sink. We called A1 and they sent someone out that very morning, within 3 hours, and the problem was solved within 10 minutes. The plumber also replaced all of the PVC under the sink (we already had the parts) at no extra charge or issue - something that would have taken us about an hour took him maybe five minutes. He was incredibly kind and professional, and I would definitely recommend this company in the future. Their price was also lower than a couple of others we called. It was either $82 or $86, I'm not sure which, for the first hour - I believe it goes down after that, but we did not need him for over that time amount.
