Description of Work: They replaced a power supply that went bad in a computer I had, then diagnosed that when the power supply went bad, it damaged the memory as well. They were very responsive in letting me know what was going on before completing any extra work.

+ -1 moreI was satisfied with the work and the price. It has delayed my having to purchase a new machine, hopefully by two or three days.
Description of Work: My 5-year old laptop computer appeared to have both hardware problems (overheated and shut down frequently) and software problems (causing it to run extremely slow), due to too much on hard drive and too many applications. DIT cleaned the motherboard and discovered the heat sink was not firmly attached, thus making it nonfnctional. That fixed the hardware problem. They attempted to delete non-critical and excess start-up applications, but that did not cause enough improvement. They asked and got my permission to completely erase the harddrive and reinstall Windows and Office. I had backed up all my data files. I will still have to reinstall the other applications as I need them. This took a couple more days than initially promised, but they did give me a status report during the process. I attributed some of eht time to extensive testing/burn-in.
