MS Handyman

After repeated attempts to contact MS Handyman he finally responded back and we set up a date to come and clean. I should have known when I emailed and tried to call to confirm my appt several times and received no response that it wasn't going to happen. And it didn't. I did finally get a refund back from Groupon. After I contacted Groupon I continued to see them offer MS Handyman services. I contacted them and asked them why they would offer services of someone who didn't come through. I didn't really receive any direct reply to my question. I also went to MS Handyman's Facebook site where every single person had the same experience as I did. I continued to write to MS Handyman and ask him why in the world they would continue to offer their services when they don't provide. He told me that he had contacted Groupon and Living Social about offering his services and he ended up getting bombarded with requests (why he didn't offer a limited number I don't know) and he couldn't keep up. He said that without his permission Groupon and Living Social continued to offer his services. He said that since I had received a refund from Groupon to please stop writing to him. So I don't know if I feel sorry for him or not but if he is going to run a customer service based business he needs to be a bit more organized. I would NEVER reach out to MS Handyman for anything.

I contacted the company prior to purchase to verify that I was within their service area. It took me a couple of emails and an attempted phone call to contact them, but they did say that I was within the service area. I attempted to contact them on Nov 5, 2012 and their phone number was temporarily suspended. I emailed and asked if they were still in business, rec'd a reply that yes, they were, but it was just one person and the business had rec'd a big hit of jobs and they fell behind. I was told the coupon was good for a year. They also said that most of the Living Social purchases were waiting until spring because it was getting too cold. I agreed to contact them again in the spring. I sent an email on April 29, 2013 and asked if it could be done prior to May 17 as I was having company that weekend. They replied yes and asked me to provide my address, contact number, and available times and dates. I replied on April 30 w/info including a number of available days and times. Did not hear back. Sent another email on May 6, no response. Another email on May 13, another on May 19, also attempted several phone calls, left messages. On May 19 I contacted Living Social for assistance. No resp, another email to Living Social on 5/27. I said I either wanted the services immediately or a refund. Finally got a reply from LS on 6/4, they said that it was too late for me to get a refund but they had been in contact with the merchant who was aware of my attempts to contact them, and they requested that I contact the merchant again. Email and pc to MS Handyman on 6/4, no response, and another one I believe on 6/7, also no resp. Another email to LS on 6/9, no resp, and again to LS on 6/17, explaining that since I was unable to redeem the voucher despite numerous attempts, I wanted them to reconsider my refund request. They finally agreed to credit my Living Social account for the purchase price. I do have copies of most of the emails that I sent to both MS Handyman and Living Social.
