We authorized overtime as the AC went out on the Friday before Memorial Day Weekend. The tech showed up and told us there was a major leak. He told us that there was no way to find and repair the leak. He told us the smart money was to buy a new unit. He also said that he could add freon and maybe, no promises, it might last through the weekend. Since my husband is a cancer patient, we agreed to add the freon. We consulted a family member in another town who came Sunday with his leak detector and had the leak located and repaired in 25 minutes. Peterson's tech did not even try to repair the leak. We called the office 3 times and was promised a return call. We are still waiting. No customer service whatsoever. I would NEVER use this company again.

I've known the founder there for 35 years. He's retired now but his boy is running it. They do the work well. They took care of it. Their price is decent and I don't have to deal with the problems, they took care of them.

I used them because their sticker was actually on the side of the furnace. My experience went fairly well. They did a good job and they let me make a couple of payments because I didn't have enough to cover what it cost in the end. I had enough to cover what they told me it would cost, but then the guy forgot a part and I had to pay for his trip to go get the part and come back as they get paid by the hour. I would recommend them to others. I was kind of stuck because it was winter and it was cold and my furnace wasn't working. I called them up, they came out and they told me what they thought it was and how much it would cost and I had enough for it. They brought the parts and fixed it and it ended up that he needed an adapter, but he didn't have it with him. He made a couple of calls to see if anybody else that was out on the road had it so that they could drop it off and nobody did so he said that he had to run back to the shop and get it. It ended up that I had to pay for his trip there and back and it went from $400 to $600 and I didn't have enough for it so I called and made arrangements and they allowed me to pay the rest at a later time.
Description of Work: I used Peterson Heating and Cooling. They replaced the motor in my furnace.
