C & M Quality Painting

The first day they came as promised and we were thrilled!! They seemed to be doing a very professional job, came when they said they would, etc. We had prepaid them 50% of the amount agreed upon for the job and, at the end of the first day, we were told they had just a couple of hours left to complete the project and they wondered if they could get the balance due. As I said, we were very impressed with them so we figured it shouldn't be any problem. Big mistake!! When we came home the next day, the job was completed BUT there was a 20+ long piece of extra cutter laying in our back yard, they had put some paint in a container (presumably so 2 people could be painting at once), the container had been knocked over or something, anyhow there was spilled dark blue paint on our back patio area - no attempt had been made to clean it up. They had to undo a wire to install the gutters it was left hanging. We tried contacting them several times but they either didn't return our calls or they said they would stop out but never showed up. In the fall we noticed some problems with our gutters so my husband got on a ladder to check it out. The covers they installed were clogged with tree seedlings and the drain spots were clogged worse than ever. We figured there had to be some sort of warranty so we again tried contacting them to get the name of the manufacturer and warranty information. When we didn't hear from them, we contacted the Better Business Bureau. They tried reaching them but after approximately a month, we were notified by the Better Business Bureau that this company had not responded to any of their efforts to contact them. Then about 2-3 weeks ago I tried contacting them on facebook. He made an appointment to stop at our house on a Wednesday afternoon - he did arrive as arranged but his suggestion was for us to put larger down spouts on our house. He had no answers for the other problems we had had - just said he hadn't been at the jobsite himself. We asked him again for the name of the manufacturer of the gutter covers. We were told they had a one year warranty and we said that was great - we had about 2 weeks left on the warranty. They left that day and we still have no information on the manufacturer. They did tell us every brand of gutter cover was going to get clogged eventually. I tried contacting him again on facebook the very next day. I told him we had differing opinions on the work they had done but that we would still like the name and information on the gutter cover company so we could contact them. I have not received a reply

Thankfully, before I had a chance to call, I witnessed this gentleman in a C&M truck in the drive thru of the Morningside McDonald's verbally assaulting the woman in front of him because she would not move her car forward as far as he liked. He was cussing at her, telling her to turn her hearing aid up, and calling her all sorts of names. Thank you for doing this and eliminating your business from my list of people to call for work to be done at my home. If you insist on ruining your business, I promise to help you.
