Pettiecord Restoration

I was very impressed with Tim and his employee. My calls were returned timely and I was kept well informed of when the work would start and end. While on-site the worker called to check in to let me know how he was progressing and what to expect when I got home. I was not surprised by anything. The work itself was exceptional. They did a great job of cleaning up after themselves and I was very pleased with the end result.

Background: The prior subcontractor contracted on our whole-house remodel job told us that he could provide the Level 5 industry finish coating that we desired to the drywall he had just placed. Instead he applied a Level 5 product but did so using the wrong knowledge, technique and tool to every single cubic inch (!!!) of new wall/ceiling drywall throughout the house. Instead of smooth (no texture) flat walls that we asked for, were left with heavily textured walls showing extremely poor and sloppy work with heavy brush roller marks every 9 inches; a front door, crown moulding and trim with tuff-hide drips; walls that were not primed consistently and evenly and not cut to the edges, etc. All the drywall in the house was now totally ruined by this final coating. The whole house had to be re- skimcoated and sanded 3 times to overcome the buildup of uneven texture from the bad finish and get to smooth walls again. After that, it also had to be resealed/primed before we could start painting. We know that smooth walls provide the most beautiful palette to a home interior and are also of growing importance for home resale values in the long-term. We chose Pettiecord Restoration to repair the damage caused by this subcontractor, instead of accepting shoddy work and lower Level 2 finish job left by the subcontractor. Working with Pettiecord Restoration made a terrible and troubling situation much more bearable and doable, and the results are fantastic. The whole team, from Tim Pettiecord himself (who also pitched in on the job to make meeting a deadline possible!) to the drywall specialist Sean who sincerely cared about every cubic inch of good finish, to the excellent painter Julia who primed the walls carefully and beautifully -- the whole team worked hard with and for us to achieve the Level 5 finish. Throughout the project, the team warmly engaged us in how things were progressing. The did their own inspections of the walls and then went over them again with us to make sure that nothing was missed. They were open to feedback, answered all our questions, were there whenever we needed them and got a huge project done in a very efficient way. While we certainly wish we'd know about Pettiecord Restorations much earlier, we are so grateful that we met them in just in time to be able to partner with them to remedy this issues and turn this house project into what is now our family home.

It took about 7 working days to complete the job.

The entire job was completed within two weeks! Tim showed up every day to make sure everything was perfect. The Basement looks absolutely fabulous. I am so happy with the work they did. Tim Pettiecord and Jeff Whitlow (the lead construction man) are fantastic to work with and both are perfectionist. I would highly recommend Pettiecord Restoration. Tim also repaired a drywall patch in my dining room ceiling. You can't even tell where the patch is he blended it in so beautifuy!!
