JW CONSTRUCTION

We hired this company at the beginning of November, 2007. Total cost was to be $675. We paid $400 up front. Mr. Wildman said he thought he could begin the job that week, and have it completed by the following week. For 3 mornings, 1-2 men came over and began breaking up the stoop, leaving a large hole and jagged concrete in front of our back door. Then, no one showed up for a week, so I called Mr. Wildman, who said his jack hammer had been damaged, and he was waiting for parts, and for a ring saw to complete the job. He expected the necessary tools would arrive within a few days. After another week of no work, I called again. Mr. Wildman said that he also did snow and ice removal, and he had been busy with that. After a few days of clear weather, I contacted Mr. Wildman again. Several times I left messages for him, asking when the work would continue, and advising him that I have an in-home daycare, and am required to have 2 exits from the home for fire safety. I last spoke to him the 2nd week of December, at which time he assured me that the work would be completed within 2 weeks. I called him several times after that, with no response. December 26th, I called and left a message requesting that my money be refunded. I received no response to my call. We filed a report with the Better Business Bureau in January, but Mr. Wildman did not respond to them, either. We are in the process of filing a small claims suit against him.
