I was able to reduce the cost significantly by receiving a rebate as part of the Energy Efficiency Rebate Program. It has also reduced my monthly energy bill. So far the new system has worked flawlessly.

Polk County are very great. They are on time, courteous to answer the phone and they do all our disconnect and reconnect of sinks. I don't have any complaints about them. They are really reasonable.

Cody was able to quickly diagnose why our furnace stopped working, get the part, and get it fixed. We'd definitely use Polk County Heating and Cooling in the future.

My wife smelled natural gas at the top of our basement stairs. She called MidAmeican energy to come out with the gas sniffer. The Midamerican tech said Honeywell Smart gas valve leaking. Then we called Polk County. Polk County techs came out at short notice that day. Unfortunately, they couldn't detect any leaks using their sniffer device at the time of the call. Visual checks also didn't find anything wrong w/ flame pattern or furnace. The reliability of the Honeywell smart valve was questioned by all of us looking at furnace, as the valve had already been replaced twice in 4 years. I didn't want to replace the smart valve again due to the cost of it, compared to the cost of a new furnace. I decided to get quotes for new furnaces to be proactive, if this thing started leaking again. The valve was only 1 year old. Another company did come out for a free furnace estimate, and we smelled raw gas coming out of the furnace exhaust pipe outside. They said they could come out and do diagnostics on it. They did a few days later, and found a slight pilot leak from the Smart valve, and an excessive gas spike when the furnace turned on which explained the raw gas smell. Also, they found some low level of gas/CO coming from the registers which indicated a leak from the Heat exchanger. At this time, I definitely decided to get a new furnace. Anyway, the point was, that the Polk county Basic check didn't find any problem. They have checked our furnace in years before with the basic inspection. I know the smart valve is unreliable, but wonder how long our heat exchanger has been looking. Our family has had symptoms consistent with low level exposure to natural gas.

They provide 2 levels of quotes one lower and one higher efficiency using American Standard products. I bid multiple contractors. The quote took over 1 week to get back due time to get back due holiday and vacations, but it wasn't the longest wait of the bids either. The SAVE rebates quoted were not as high as others, and others had taken measurements to help specify the rebates. complete estimate was $ 6000's to 8000's range couldn't find any specs for noise rating for american standard air conditioners, and some online comments were negative. they quoted and an Accuclean air filter, but in the end I didn't want it due to having to clean it every 6 weeks or so, then some low level of ozone emitted. They didn't quote a simple merv 16 air filter media. I went w/ another contractor due to quote detail, SAVE rebates and the air purifier/filter. I would recommend Polk County and have used them before.

I was happy with them, estimate, response, price ,etc. Intially there was a small leak from the sink, but they came back quickly to tighten it up. Everything has worked great for 4 years now.

We have a yearly contract with them. They come out twice a year to check the furnace and the air conditioner. We have always have good service from them. They installed the furnace and air conditioner. They also installed the water heater.

They come out twice a year to do maintenance on my heating system. Their price is reasonable compared to others in the area. They have done quality work on my old system. The are definitely responsive. They are professional and punctual.

It took them two months to come out for the servicing and they never came out for the maintenance so we just called another company. I liked the servicement men they were very poilte and they tried to figure it out. They came out a second time to try and figure it out again and didn't charge me for the second time.

They do a good job, and their prices are reasonable for the work they do.

Well, it went ok, but they didn't get the job done on the first day so I told them they could park their big truck on my concrete patio that ajoins my driveway. By morning, it had cracked. Now I can't seem to get it repaired where I no longer have that flood by my backdoors. I'm 78 years old and have to broom off water when it rains or snows. I told my friend about them and she used them and got a senior discount and I didn't!
