One Call Home Repair

Sent the provider a message thru Angie's List and did not hear back from him. Followed up with a phone call. Provider said he ONLY ACCEPTS PHONE CALLS -- NO E-MAILS. He also said that he has had brain surgery and does not do any services. Not sure why he is listed here on Angie's.

Everything was great. They were able to come right over. Price was reasonable. Job was completed quickly and with attention to detail.

Eric, who works with Kevin, arrived promptly on a very hot day and took down an old basketball hoop, jackhammered out the old cement, dug a deeper post hole required for a new hoop, and installed the new hoop anchor and poured cement. It seems like a simple job, but he and his helper were working for five or six hours straight and it was hard work. The anchor was perfectly even, resulting in a straight pole and hoop when the company came to install the new hoop on the anchor. One Call does it right.

He does a great job. His prices are fair. He returns calls or texts. He is nice to my kids and my dog. He is reliable. If you are someone who must have a set bid that will not change at all before proceeding with a project, he may not be the handyman for you, but I have never been shocked by his bills at the end of a project.

I misread this contractor's ad and missed that I should contact them by phone and NOT email. I feel horrible about this so I would like to retract my previous review. Because of MY mistake, I didn't get an email back. Totally MY fault. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

We had a large crack in the ceiling. Had to go into the attic and put a support board in to bring the crack up in the bathroom so he could put mud on it evenly. Kevin gave me a max estimate in time and then what he thought it would actually take. He was right on and he did a nice job. His pricing was right on as well. I would use him again in the future if needed.

Kevin does a very nice job. He comes when he says he will, cleans up, and the work is good quality. He is not very good about giving a hard bid, but prices are still reasonable.

Kevin is prompt, knowledgeable, and takes pride in his work. He did a nice job with everything we asked him to do, while keeping the cost reasonable. He was also very accommodating and worked with us to find the best time/date for our schedule. And he figured out what was wrong with our shower...we are thrilled to finally be able to take a hot shower without having to pre-heat it 20 minutes in advance by running the water! We appreciate his work ethic and expertise, and would be happy to have him do more work for us.

Kevin is a professional. He is prompt, clean, and experienced. His pricing is fair and his honesty and ethics are of the highest standards. Kevin is pleasant and will not "sell you a bill of goods." You will be happy with Kevin's work quality and customer service.

Kevin came out to look at the projects to give me an estimate the same day I called him. The start date had to be delayed but Kevin was very good about communicating any changes. Both projects wound up being bigger than expected once the work was started Kevin was very good about communicating changes that needed to be made and why. The bathroom remodel was done on the only bathroom in the house Kevin made sure we had a functioning toilet and shower to use everyday. Both rooms look great after the work was completed. I am very pleased with the jobs Kevin did and would highly recommend his services to anyone needing any work done on their house. Wanted to update this review since sometime has passed we have had several areas in the bathroom that the drywall keeps cracking. Kevin has come back and fixed them but they reappear in a short time. I will have to have someone else come out and fix the problem.

One Call Home Repair is fantastic. Bids were timely and reasonable, the work was quality and One Call Home Repair was helpful in making suggestions. One Call Home Repair goes above and beyond, treating each project as if he were working on his own home. One Call Home Repair made every effort to meet the unreasonable deadlines I had given him. I have used several contractors in a professional capacity. He is the only contractor I have considered using in my personal home. His work and ethics impressed me, but more importantly it impressed my husband when he saw the finished results.

It was good. He gave me two separate quotes, one for the shelving and one for the drywall and it was both fair prices. He was very pleasant, he was very knowledgeable, he did a good job and I would use him again.

I was satisfied with the service. The gentleman was professional and made sure that I was happy with the work and if not that I could call them back.

One Call Home Repair replied promptly when I called them for an estimate, and asnwered all of my questions thoroughly. They explained the options I had in the work I wanted done and even provided clever solutions that I hadn't even thought of. They did high quality work and were very professional and courteous when at my house performing the work. They did everything we agreed upon in the timeframe they committed to, and when they were done, all of the old materials were completely cleaned up. I am planning on using them for another project this Spring.

We called for an estimate and it was scheduled right away. Work started the next day and was finished in a very timely manner. We have a very old house that was flipped by someone who took many cheap corners. Our main floor bathroom had leaked into the subfloor and ruined the wood down to the rafters. Kevin tore it all out, replaced it, put in new flooring including our new floating floor. It looks great! We also had a leak in our kitchen piping for which we've already had 3 different plumbers "fix" in the past 8 years. Kevin realized they had never fixed the actual problem and for the first time since we've lived here, our pipe from the Kitchen to the basement isn't leaking. He also fixed the caulking job that another handyman had messed up in our second floor bath. Our kids really liked him and our dog loved him which is important to us because he was in our house alone with them at times. We will definitely be calling him again as we have many issues that need his skill and TLC in our old house. Our project took longer than he had estimated but he charged us for what he had estimated. Price was right. Skill was definitely there. Good guy!

I got them from Angie's List. His name is Kevin Gromman. I love him, he's great. He typically charges $35 an hour plus expenses and then depending on what we need to do and how long it needs to be done. We have just developed a really good relationship in terms of how we are doing it. It's really very nice. He is very meticulous and a perfectionist. He likes to get it just right. If he spends some extra time, he will come in and say that he spent some extra time, because he wanted to learn more and that this was what he was going to us for and not the time he spent. I think his price is fair and reasonable. It's not the cheapest, but it's certainly not the most expensive. If he wasn’t as good, maybe I would have a different feeling. But he always is really good.

Very good, he was prompt, polite and very helpful. He made the trip to the store to get what was needed and did not charge me a mark up. He said if I didnt like it he would take it back no problem. He was extremely knowledgeable and reasonably priced. I have a few other thing I need done, I will call Kevin again!

He was out the morning after our call, looked at the damaged post and suggested a repair. We agreed and he left to get the wood to repair it. He was back shortly after and had it repaired by 1 PM.
