BRAGDON APPLIANCE SERVICE

I had a dishwasher fail after 3 months. Called the manufacture and they set me up with Bragdon. The service man spent 10 seconds in my house - told me what was wrong with it (which is exactly what they told me over the phone) and told me he had to order a part. Well, the part was on factory backorder and he told me it would be 7-10 days or up to a month or two before the part would be in. I wasn't happy so I called the manufacture myself and got the part shipped to my house in 4 days. Called up Bragdon to schedule to have the part installed on a Monday. The earliest they had was a Thursday which was fine. Scheduled the appointment and was told I would receive a phone call Thursday morning with my time slot. Never received the phone call and when I called back - I was never on the schedule and the earliest they could have me on it was the following Monday. When I said that was unacceptable and it was their mistake they hung up on me. HORRIBLE customer service.

The service tech arrived on time. He looked professional and was very courteous. Appeared to be very knowledgeable. Service tech reset thermostat on dryer. The dryer did begin heating, so paid technician $96.30 and he informed me that work was guaranteed for 1 month and if I had a problem within that time to call back. Dryer worked for 2 loads and no heat again. I called back. Tech said he thought he knew what the problem was and would need to look up parts and call me back. Waited 2 days and never got a call back. Called them, no one answered, left message. No one returned my call, so I called the next day, no answer and left another message. I've yet to get a return call. I honestly do not know how they stay in business with such poor service. Very disappointing!

Trouble shot our non-operating refrigerator, told me it was the 2nd most expensive item to replace, the JAZZ board that controls the whole unit, then took 10 days to get one sent down from Waterloo, IA 50 miles north of us. Replaced the Jazz board, but the unit never really worked. They left before it ever got to freezing in the freezer, then didn't come back for 4 days. Replaced the relay and capacitor for the relay, the unit started to work. Unit lasted two weeks, failed again. Called Matag directly, they sent a service technician out who knew what he was doing, told us it was the compressor. Basically shot, the compressor was over $700 to replace. We'd already spent $350 on parts we didn't need because the basic failure was not detected by Bragdon. DO NOT USE BRAGDON unless you want to waste y our money.
