Wood Shed Shop

Took longer than I expected, over two weeks. Chainsaw works perfectly now though.

We'd started refinishing our floor and weren't sure what stain to use. Tom was out of town when we started the project. We left a message for him which he returned promptly once he got back into town. He went out of his way to make time to stop by and give us advice and a bid to finish the job. While doing the job, he arrived promptly and finished the job sooner than promised. One of the things that stood out most during the bid process was the variety of finishes he was able to offer and his practical explanations. He came prepared with samples and showed us what the floor would look like. In talking with him, it was clear that his reputation and his customer's happiness were more important than "winning the job." That attitude (and the fact that friends had also recommended his work) is why we hired him.

We were very impressed with Tom and the work. He came quickly for an estimate, and was punctual with for the appointment. The repair was excellent was excellent. Much better than the original install, which was professionally done as well. Tim kept everything very clean during the work, and cleanup was excellent.

Honestly, we were way in over our heads on a floor refinishing project. Over the phone, the proprietor gave us some tips and pointers, and then stopped by, patiently walked through several options, and was able to demonstrate how our floors would look. Has a sharp eye for detail and years of experience with repairing old wood floors of all types. He was very punctual and organized. The quality of work was outstanding. Love the refinished floors!

Tom was very punctual, worked hard to make the job satisfactory to both himself and us. He is a genial, pleasant person and a pleasure to do business with. He is a real craftsman, something rare these days. The cost was as expected. I would have no hesitation recommending his work and would certainly hire him again for any future work of this type. He also installs new.
