In 2006, we finally decided to spend the big money and redo our deck in a gray composite decking with stairs that lead down to a decorative concrete patio. Not being many concrete companies that do this work we selected Dan's Power Concrete. Frankly I cant remember during the project whether it was going well or poorly - although it did seem to take forever. The first problems began when they failed to caulk the saw lines - they recommended another company who could do this, but I thought that would be part of the service. Secondly, in repairing the yard they buried my foundation drain tile which subsequently plugged this year and caused water to back up into my basement. Thirdly, they graded the yard improperly which resulted in rain and snow melt to wash over the patio. Finally, this year the damage from those errors began to show as the concrete has already begun to deteriorate in several place. I have called Dan several times. He is sure that the concrete was poured correctly - but that the excessive water we had this year caused the concrete to deteriorate rapidly. Subsequent calls have led me to believe that he is planning to power wash the deck, repair the damaged areas, and put a heavy sealant on the whole deck. Subsequently, I have spent about $3000 re-grading the yard and providing proper drainage; digging up the buried tile and replacing sod. Not received a call back in two weeks.
Description of Work: Power Concrete was to pour a decorative patio and stairs, construct a retaining wall, grade the area and replace the sod due to construction work.
