Called at 8am, and Dave was here and gone at 10am. He was professional, efficient and very courteous. Price was fair ($75 labor charge). Dave went straight to the furnace and discovered the high limit switch had burnt out because we had not changed our filter as often as we should. He showed me the filter we had been using and explained that although a pleated high-efficiency filter says it should last 3 months, it catches 10x the dirt and really needs to be checked every month. (It has probably been more than 3 months since ours had been changed). We did not have a new filter on hand, but he had a filter and the replacement switch in his van. He left the switch to show my husband that it was truly and quot;burnt outand quot;. Then he did a quick check of the gas fireplace and discovered the pilot had just gone out. He re-lit the pilot and was on his way.

Dave was prompt and very satisfactorily solved my air conditioning problems.

I initially called for a fall service for my furnace as it was making a squealing noise at startup. When I first called Dave said he would try and get to me in 3 or 4 days but was very busy. Waited a week and no one showed up. I called him back and he apoligized and said he remembered the call, but had lost my number. Came the next morning. Was very skilled. The furnace was now not working at all. Had the furnace apart in about 15 minutes, pulled the new motor out of his truck and had it repaired and running within another 30 minutes. Knowledgeable and professional. Other than not getting here during the first week was excellent service. Price was fair. Will call again in the future.

Mr. Stepp is our plumbing and heating guy. He will be here even if I call him at 2 o’clock in the morning. He charges, but he is fair. It was a high efficiency furnace. He recommended that we buy that furnace and we got $1500 back. He went through everything with us. He has been taking care of our furnace and air conditioner for many years now. We needed a new furnace and so we called him. He came when he said he was going to come. He did a fair job. He told us about the types of heaters. He compared the high priced heater with a low priced heater because we got a rebate. So we didn’t pay anything more than if we had a lower priced unit. We got our money back in a year.

We relied on Dave over the past several years to keep our 40 year old furnace running until we could afford to replace it. He was always responsive by phone and came out within a day or two for repairs and adjustments to the old furnace. Because of Dave's reliability, excellent work and fair prices, we didn't consider anyone else when it came time to finally purchase the new furnace. The installation took just a few hours and Dave and his employee cleaned up after themselves. The new furnace is working great and we're looking forward to lower energy bills and feeling better about our personal carbon footprint. We're very pleased and highly recommend Dave Stepp's services.
