Our furnace was running, but not blowing warm air. It clicked, but, did not seem to be igniting. I called Tuesday morning and they came out Tuesday afternoon. The woman with whom I spoke on the phone was polite and friendly and advised me of the service call cost and payment. The technician was also friendly and polite and I felt comfortable, as a woman with my disabled daughter, having him in my home. He explained the problem and fixed it for a very fair price. He also suggested a couple other things we may want to consider for maintenance, but, without pressure. I chose them for their A grade on Angie's List and for being a locally owned family business. I will add personal experience to my reasons for calling them, again.

Excellent work, well-chosen unit by him (he personally tests everything he sells). The unit has a replaceable head, so if that goes bad, you don't have to replace the whole unit. Another excellent job by A2Z: fast, clean, reliable, professional. Just incredibly professional and super knowledgeable about what he sells. All my plumbing work goes to them.

SINGLE BEST PLUMBER I'VE EVER HAD. Had these guys put my water heater. When he came, he was able to put it in in just 2 hours, including taking out the old gas waterheater and putting 220v in with an electrician he sub-contracted He gave me the option of purchasing my water heater myself! Most plumbers would go get that and mark up the price on it! He gave me a bid for him supplying the unit i wanted or me supplying it so i could choose! AMAZINGLY PROFESSIONAL. Super fast, super reasonable, super professional. These guys are doing all plumbing for me from now on.

The service call was just a day after I made the call, which was very quick. He came out in the morning, assessed what happened, reminded me of my home owner's insurance and fixed my front door enough so I could latch it for security, without a change to me. He was very friendly and informative.

Punctual, reasonably priced, courteous.

Everything went well.

When I sent them an email asking how many BTU's each room would have, I was informed that they would not divulge this information until I signed the bid acceptance, citing they have been ripped off in the past with people using their bids to get a better price. While their bid was the lowest of all three bids I obtained, I would not sign anything without having all the information outlined in advance. I found this response to be both very unprofessional and offensive. _x000D_|_x000D_|I would not recommend anyone signing anything that did not address their questions and what it is they are getting._x000D_|

Repairman was on time, courteous, and clean. Cleaned up after performing work.

I had started using A2Z Mechanical when my furnace had started acting up a couple years ago. Although there was a slight wait for the part that I needed to come in, they had offered to bring in heaters to help keep my son and I warm during the chilly season. I was very pleased with their service and am officially a loyal customer. My most recent visit from them was just for a routine cleaning/inspection. I recommend them to everybody I know that has issues with their heating/air.

We have been using A2Z for the last 4 and a half years, since we moved to Iowa. We have always been extremely happy with them. We have a service contract with A2Z for all the seasonal services on our furnace, A/C unit, and a humidifier that they installed on the furnace. They have also removed a broken water heater and installed a brand new one, have fixed a broken switch on a gas fireplace, checked our sump pump to make sure it was functioning properly, and fixed several small plumbing fixture issues. Several different technicians have done the work for us, and they have all been very professional and friendly. We have used their emergency service as well, when our A/C was malfunctioning during the hottest part of the summer, and their response time was same-day. We constantly recommend A2Z to friends and co-workers. Their service contract is a really good deal, as it includes the services/checks on the items covered, and it pulls their emergency call rate down to their normal work rate (not time and a half). We definitely recommend A2Z!

Other than the price was too high, it was pretty good. They were friendly. They were pretty quick to come around.

Found a used high-efficiency furnace and central air unit for me to purchase, (for which I'm very grateful) picked it up and installed it. Furnace and Central Air are working fine. Only issues I had were that the programmable thermostat that was installed had "faulty" written across it in permanent marker ink. Had to insist it be replaced and it was eventually replaced with a simple, cheap non-programmable thermostat. The work done was fine but I feel I was over-charged for replacing one segment on two heat runs.

I used A2Z in summer 2008, winter 2008/2009 and summer 2009. In the summer of 2008 we had A2Z service our old air conditioner, which needed some leaks soldered and more refrigerant. They arrived within a half hour or less and completed the work promptly. In winter 2008/2009 our pilot light kept going out so they replaced the thermocouple. Again, service was prompt. For these two services we had American Home Shield, so what we paid ($60 each visit) doesn't accurately reflect the real cost for service. In the summer of 2009 we had our old leaky air conditioner serviced again, this time without American Home Shield, and I believe the cost was around $180 because we needed a lot of refrigerant plus more soldering to patch up more leaks. That summer I also asked A2Z to remove my water softener, reroute the plumbing to the water heater after the softener was removed, install a new shower head, tub faucet and hot/cold valve. The job cost around $550 for parts and labor. These jobs took about 4 hours to complete, mainly because they ran into some problems when replacing the shower parts. The old shower valves (on/off) were soldered into the pipes and could not be screwed off, so they had to cut into it. They had to replace some shower plumbing and re solder pipes. Since we didn't have an access panel, they had to cut into the wall from a bedroom. The water softener was extremely heavy being completely full of salt and water and the repairman lifted it into the back of his truck by himself! We haven't used them for the air conditioner since 2009 because we found out that my wife's co-worker's husband did heating/AC and we have had him service the air conditioner. Co-worker's husband is no longer in the business though. So we wouldn't hesitate to call A2Z for help, and will call them when we need service again.

He said it looked like maybe the fan stuck at first but when he turned it on again it ran fine. Other than that seemed like I was ready to go.

Within an hour someone came and opened the location of the engine and found that it was broken into pieces. He replaced the engine and now it is working very well!

I was very pleased with them. They were prompt and they gave an accurate estimate. The final price was under the estimate. They worked quickly and they worked well with me. They were very helpful. This was the second time that I used them. I have been particularly pleased with Mr. Brad who I called the second time. I would absolutely use them again in the future.
