Ted Brown and his crew with Deck Doctor did a fantastic job with restaining/resealing our wooden deck and steep wooden staircase. We had intermittent rain days to deal with, but Ted's team did a great job working through the rain delays, staying on task, and keeping us advised when work days had to be rescheduled, to allow needed time for the wood deck to dry between the rain dates. Ted is a very nice, easy-going professional, who worked very hard to make sure we were satisfied at every step along the way. He even arranged to power wash our dirty front sidewalk for free, near the end of the day after his team had power washed the deck! Great service and customer care all around!

If I could give Ted 10 stars, I would. The team is professional and arrives when promised. Ted refinished our deck and it looks truly amazing. When other deck "companies" gave estimates, they only wanted to tear down and rebuild. Ted came the day after I requested an estimate, and gave us the hope we'd been looking for. He kept to his more than reasonable estimate, even after adding some beautiful touches we did not think of. He is an honest human being, and very respectful....so is his team! Very précised and meticulous work !!!!!!!

Ted, the estimator, used a very sharp pencil and was concerned with doing a good job at a good price. My deck had some rotting railing and needed staining. Ted, carefully looked over the deck and made his measurements. He explained what was needed and why so we understood what was the job they were going to do. They phoned before they were going to start so we had time to prepare. The crew started the work and introduced themselves when we check on their work. Immediately we felt very comfortable with them. They were friendly and explained what they were doing and why. As whith most projects, a little more damage was found. I asked that it be replaced as needed and I offered to pay since it was not included in the estimate. The extra damage was repaired but they stuck with their estimate and rejected my offer to pay an additional amount. The project turned out as nice as we were expecting. We will definitely hire them again.

Ted and the Deck Doctor crew refaced and expanded our deck to over double the original size, and did a fabulous job! We couldnâ t be happier with the results! The were very easy to work with, considerate of our association rules and very reasonably priced, especially considering the great quality of work. Very friendly, gave a clear quote and stuck to it even when material costs were higher. We would highly recommend them, and are happy that several of our neighbors are also considering hiring them for projects! We look forward to making many years of family memories on our new deck!

Wonderful group of people. friendly and easy to work with. They stuck to their estimate. They made so many improvements and made great suggestions on what to do or add to my deck. They even built a bench and two flower planters for us out of the left over wood. They went above and beyond what I expected. I would hire them in a heartbeat if I needed any more deck work. I had hail damage, Ted came the day I called him-he found the materials and gave me a quote in 24 hours and finished the work the next day. Good job by a good guy!

The owner Ted and the other two person crew did an excellent job of repairing and painting the deck. Real pros. They brought the deck up to code for when the house is sold. There was alot of work that needed to to be done-repairing and removing old boards and replacing with new, and painting two coats. The boards they bought were of great quality and they knew exactly which nails to get. Jeff-a crew member, did a fantastic job, he was knowledgeable and paid attention to detail. The other worker did a great job also. They came to work the days they said they would. They also repaired a part of the deck that the others who bidded on it missed. They were friendly and easy to get along with. We re very pleased with the results!

Ted came out to take a look at our older deck. He gave a few good suggestions and tips for maintaining it and also helped stabilize the stairs to our elevated deck. Other than some mix ups in minor details, he did an awesome job and the stairs feel very sturdy now! No longer get an uneasy feeling walking up them. Would recommend.

The work was done professionally on a timely basis

Ted came into the job with same very good ideas on how to repair my deck. The work he did really exceeded my expectations because where possible, they were able to use existing materials which saved cost in the long run.

Our problem was not cut and dried. Water was coming into the basement under but only during a hard, prolonged rain. The only solution was to tear part of the deck floor up and see what was going on. Ted gave an estimate and we agreed to have him do the work. Several issues were found, shown to us and solutions offered. Ted worked while it was snowing and raining and quite chilly. He is a very much a gentleman and a professional and did some extras that we had not discussed at no extra cost. I would hire him again in a second!
