Window World of Mason City

They were here right on time a crew of 5. 2 men inside my home taking out my old windows and 2 outside doing the final framing and 2 insulating around the windows then sealing them. 1 outside measuring and cutting the finished vinyl , that was mired . VERY professional! They were SO efficient and SO polite. They took the time to stop and answer all my questions. Even the owner and his wife stopped by to see how everything was going and to make sure we were happy....I found this Extraordinary because he had just come back from his fathers funeral.... Within 5 hours , they replaced 22 windows , vacuumed my ENTIRE home, cleaned up everything outside , shook our hands and Thanked us for choosing Window World. My neighbors were stopping by admiring the work of these fine men and said our home always looked great, but after replacing all our windows, it's a WOW home now!!! Totally recommend Window World to Everyone.....and as a matter of fact...I have:):):)

We tried to reach window world by phone daily for over a week. During business hours their phone was was not answered. A message or 2 was left but not returned. We finally were able to get an answer to our phone calls and scheduled a warranty appointment for 5:00 in the evening. This time was chosen because of my husbands work schedule as well as my daycare schedule. The rep from Window World showed up 2 hours early. This was a HUGE inconvenience for me as this is when I am getting children up from nap, feeding snack, and some children are going home. Also, my own children were resting/napping in some of the rooms he needed to be in. Because he was early I couldn't let my daughter take a full nap. Plus my husband had to be at work at this time. When the Rep came in and I mentioned that he was early he was very curt and said that I needed to work with HIS schedule. He also said that the people scheduling the appointments have no idea how long things will take so he just shows up when he wants to. He seemed very annoyed that I could not drop everything I was doing to talk with him. I called my husband because I could not watch my daycare while showing him what needed to be checked on. Luckily he was able to come home on such short notice. While waiting for my husband the Rep proceeded to lecture me about the humidity in my home. (My home is not any more humid than any other home I have been in) I had to cut him short because I was trying to work. I reminded him that this is why we asked him to come at 5:00. When my husband was home he proceeded to check the windows. One of which he bent a part of the window that closes the window other than that he didn't do anything. We are not convinced that this will be a long term solution to this window not closing. He also lectured my husband on the humidity of our home to the point of being pushy and rude. After this meeting with Window World I do not know that we would call them to put new windows in our walk out basement (which we were waiting to do at a later date due to cost) nor do I think I would refer them to a friend. I have worked in jobs where customer service was of the utmost importance I don't feel like this is a high priority.

When we were in the process of getting estimates we asked window world to come to our home on 2 separate occasions. The first time they were right on time and the 2nd after they were an hour late I called. they had forgotten to come. however they rescheduled and were on time for that visit. The windows were ordered and arrived when they said that they would arrive. They showed up for installation when they said that they would and all the windows were installed before 1:00! it was amazing how fast they were done. The quality was wonderful. I was frustrated with the foreman for only one reason. I run a child care from my home and because of this I must follow the rules of the Iowa Clean Indoor Air Act. There can be no smoking in my home even outside of my child care hours. When I saw one of the employees smoking in our yard I asked the foreman to have all of his employees to smoke across the street so that I wouldn't risk having a fine. While they did follow this the foremen seemed to be slightly upset or annoyed with me. He never said anything, this is just based on what I felt by his expression.
