When they were done things looked good. But after measuring the thickness it was only 12 inches and it was supposed to be 16 inches. They shorted me 4 inches of insulation over the entire house, the cost of this is about $800 worth of insulation alone. I brought this up to him but he is now claiming that the insulation settled 4 inches in 2 months. The manufacturers say it will only settles 2 inches. So the 4 inches of settling is a ridiculous number. Don't use hawkeye insulation. They done know how to measure.
Description of Work: Hawkey insulation blew cellulose insulation in my attic. It was supposed to be 16 inches thick. That is 14 plus 2 inches for settling over time. This amount was recommended to me by a third party.w

Went great even took a vac around the yard to pick up any small debris! Tell them Rick told you about them
Description of Work: After the Alliant Energy rebates the cost was was only $200.00 as quoted. An Alliant Energy audit was required to be performed first to determine if insulation was needed. The contractor explained the procedure , arrived ontime very professional and showed me everything that was not insulated before they began the process . Once the attic was done I was allowed to check depth and coverage they even repaired bathroom vent and checked all other vents. The technicians explained how by pushing the fill tube to the top of the exterior wall and filling under hi pressure would pack the insulation much tighter not allowing for the settling as normally seen with other vendors.
