Two of the boys he had working for him had no idea what they were doing and were very lazy. He promised to do that, but after I paid him and began to do yardwork, I discovered he did not replace any rotten wood, not fix all the flower beds and used screws that were not made for outdoor use which again will rust with weather and not hold. He did not install all the bolts in the gate, only on the front and not on the sides so all the weight is hanging on the front bolts only, Not all of the fence is level. Left a mess, tore up a rock area and did not put back in place. Left quick dry cement all over my asphalt driveway. Did not properly install the gate fence post which he said he would put rebar and cement in, told me it would be fine and used L brackets with screws that will rust to drill throughand screw the vinyl and attach to my garage. I demanded he come back and fix or do what he said he would. He put rebar in the gate post with cement but much was left on my driveway. I had to tell him to glue my post caps on which he said he shouldn't have to do. He argued with me that he didn't have to use as much cement as the manufacturer required because he said it would be fine. He pocketed money that should have been used on cement and materials for a fence that I spent thousands of dollars on and expect to be installed to withstand high winds, but he thinks he knows more about the kind of weather and winds I get after I have been the one who has lived here for almost 20 years and have seen the kind of damage that the winds can do here. Everything he promised to do he cheapened or did not do hoping I would not notice all of it. He has still not come back to fix the flower beds or rock gardens. I did try calling every day for 3 days after he left and he avoided answering his phone. As far as I am concerned he is a fly by night contractor, once he gets paid he is gone. Not professional at all! I am going to talk to the attorney general in Iowa to check into this contractor. I also am going to have to take him to court if he does not return. I have pictures of everything I discovered.
