+ -1 moreLuckily we had a home warranty which covered the majority of the costs. Kapaun and Brown contacted the warranty company to work thru the red tape involved. They were thorough and very professional. I'd recommend Kapaun and Brown to anyone needing heating and cooling work done.
Description of Work: On the first really hot day in May we discovered our A/C wasn't blowing cold air. They checked the whole system to pinpoint the problem. Turned out our condenser was shot and had to be replaced. When they pulled it out, they noticed where some gasket had blown in the furnace. That furnace part had to be replaced, too. We also had some of the sheet metal exterior of the furnace rebuilt.

+ -1 moreI have had them as my A/C and furnace maintenance provider for the last year and couldn't be happier with the service I receive both from the office staff and the technician. I'd highly recommend them for furnace and A/C work. They are always prompt, courteous and try to explain what they are doing during their inspection and cleaning. Unfortunately, it all goes over my head but I'm just glad they are there to do any repairs that are needed. The last time they were out was to try to identify a potential leak in the A/C system that he discovered during routine service work this spring. He put the flourescent stuff in the lines and returned two weeks later to see if he could find the source of the leak. He found the source of the problem and hopefully he got the leak stopped.
Description of Work: This service and repair work was performed by the Ames office of Kapaun and Brown. Ihave had them as my A/C and furnace maintenance provider for the last year.

Description of Work: We bought a generator and this visit was a satisfaction visit because it wasn't working properly.
