FLOOR TRADER

Floor trader was exceptionally helpful at the warehouse and the quality of their flooring exceeded our expectations, especially for the price and compared to other venders in Cedar Rapids. They did an amazing job ordering the flooring and their were no problems. The sales associate was also exceptionally helpful and listened to our likes/dislikes when helping us. He was clearly trying to help and not motivated by trying to sell us a more expensive flooring. They provided recommended vendors for installation- we had one snafu here, b/c the installer was not showing up. However, floor trader helped us quickly find another installer who did a wonderful job and completed the job quickly.

We worked initially with a salesman, Tyler Houdeshell who was very helpful. After the Duraceranic was installed by an installer named Kenny), there were about 20 places where the grout was missing. There were voids in the middle of the floor several inches long that were obvious. I called and Kenny told me and quot;there is some extra grout in a tub. You can do it yourself.and quot; I complained to the manager and he sent Kenny back out to fix it. After the bamboo was installed (also by Kenny), there were areas where it did come close enough to the wall for the 3/8' base trim to cover the gap. The manager, Matt came out and promised to have it fixed. A week later, Kenny came back and spent a little over an hour patching in some pieces but there are still many problem areas. We decided that we have given Floor Trader enough chances so I will be buying new, wider trim and staining, finishing, and installing it myself. I had removed the original trim and refinished it ... all of that is now wasted work and expense. We also have not yet received a refund for the extra boxes of Duraceramic and Bamboo that were not used. The product is great, the installation was lousy!
