Smitty's Tire & Appliance

Members of my family always go to Smitty's Tire & Appliance. I really have respect to how they handle their business. I respect them. It's not typical to have tires and appliances at the same place, but it works out well. You have some things to browse while you're waiting for your car to get fixed. The staff is very polite and very professional. They're very clear and concise when they're on the phone with customers. They're very honest. If you have any questions, you can always ask. My boyfriend is a mechanic and when they told my family member something, my boyfriend knew they were telling the truth.

My dishwasher still needs to be repaired. Do not call them unless you bought your appliance there.

The sales versus delivery was the issue. Looked for a Whirlpool washer and dryer and had heard of issues with specific manufacturing plants. Salesman ensured that the model we bought was manufactured in a plant we had confidence in but we wanted to see the box to be sure. Also delivery was promised two weeks ahead of when it was actually delivered. Nobody called to inform us of the delay and when we called the salesman he was not very forthcoming with information. Took two more calls to confirm a delivery date. We called the Friday before a Monday delivery and asked if the units would arrive in the box so we could confirm manufacturing location. We were assured that they were. When units finally arrived at my house, they were not in the boxes. Delivery personell said they always take units out of the box at the store to save time. That was exactly contrary to what we were told the Friday before. Delivery folks had to return to the store to get the boxes. Delivery personnell were appologetic for the mix up and did a very good job hauling off our old unit and installing the new units.

The 30 yr old dryer had stopped putting out heat. The first appointment time available was more than a week out. However, the workman came on time, was professional, replaced the heating element and described the manufacturing quality of this particular make of dryer. I appreciated that when the appointment was made, they took down the details and so Bill had the right part on the truck.
