Denny is a seasoned plumber, and he has always responded ASAP to my calls for help over the years (I've lived here 8 years, and have called him for my furnace and my plumbing). He knows and remembers the layout of my plumbing, and where to find what he needs to do the job efficiently. This call, he turned off the water, took apart the mechanism that controls the level of water in the toilet tank and stops it, found the small seal that was the problem, and replaced it. He then went back to the basement and turned the water back on. I told him about the sewer backup and he ran some water and tested the cleanout between for the house itself and found my pipes inside the house were not the problem, the problem lay in the outbound pipe between my house and the sewer. He had to return to the shop and retrieve his augur which was mounted to the bed of a pickup truck, as well as some help because of the weight of the machine. The outbound cleanout had standing water, He ran his auger for nearly 40 minutes between 75-80 feet from the house to the city sewer main attempting to remove the blockage, but said he kept hitting something hard and was unable to break through. He gave the names of two other local concerns (one a private citizen who owns an augur for his own farm work, the other a local plumber, Leon Plumbing Works, also reviewed by me, and not favorably) who had more powerful augurs with more torque to break through the "blockage". I trust Denny. While I was still working, I would leave a key for him in an agreed-upon place so he could let himself in and service my furnace in the winter. He even remembers my dog, and always has a biscuit and a lovepat for her. He has fixed and rerouted plumbing, including broken pipes, leaks and blockages, installed new plumbing fixtures (bathroom basin and cabinet) and the filter I bought to install on the kitchen pipes to filter drinking/cooking water. He has never ceased to be kind, caring and trustworthy, and does not look to pile on to my bills. Because I am on a fixed income, and even when I wasn't, he allows his bills to be paid on time, and charges 1% simple interest on the unpaid balance until it is paid. I would never hesitate to recommend Denny to anyone who needed a good plumber at reasonable prices.
Description of Work: Turned off household water, replaced a seal in the toilet tank to stop flood of water, augured drain between house and city sewer main to remove plug that was causing sewage to back up into bathtub, etc.

Denny was on the scene to fix my furnace within 5 minutes of my notification that I needed help. He is friendly and professional, went to work and after a few minutes in the basement reappeared to say he needed a part and must go back to his shop to see if he had one that would work. In about a half hour he came back with a Honeywell igniter and got it to work with my 25-year-old furnace. I was billed $331, including a $75 service call. Denny has cared for my furnace needs for the past 7 years and kept a furnace which needs replacing running and safe. He is caring, committed, and trustworthy -- when I was working I could call him and leave the key for him to get in a do whatever needed to be done.
Description of Work: My furnace igniter was not getting a spark, and would not blow heat (forced air natural gas furnace). Denny replaced the igniter with a Honeywell part he had on hand, and the furnace fires beautifully.
