The staff was good. The staff was prompt with getting us in for an appointment. They are a small locally owned company that was responsive. They seemed to care about doing a good job and saving us money.
Description of Work: They dried out the water damage in our basement carpet.

I called them and of course they could only come out during the week which was OK, but would require me to take time off of work. Since my daughter had therapy on Wednesdays, we agreed that Wednesday morning would be best so that I could keep my daughter's appointment in the afternoon. I took the day off work and they were to meet me at my house around 11:00 in the morning. A company representative finally showed up at my house at 2:00 in the afternoon, a half hour before I had to take my daughter to therapy. I ended up calling my wife and she took the afternoon off to come home while they did the carpet and I took my daughter to therapy, so I took the day off for no reason. The representative showed up, measured the floor (800 sq. ft.) and told me that it would be 269 for the job 299 if I wanted the stairs done, which I agreed to. Then about 45 minutes later a second person showed up to clean the carpet. I was gone when he showed up, but my wife was here. The gentleman who cleaned the carpet did a good job, although it was wetter than I had hoped. It took him about 30 minutes or so and when he was done, had the gall to tell my wife that this was the easiest job he had done all day, making us feel that we got taken a bit. I should have shopped around more. About 2 hours later, my wife got a phone call from the first person that showed up apologizing for the rut in our yard. She was unaware of anything, so she went out an looked. Apparently, the gentleman who did the cleaning wanted to empty the dirty water and chemicals in the ditch at the end of my driveway and pulled off the driveway and left a rut about 20 feet long and 12 inches deep in my lawn. I have meant to call him up and tell him how disappointed I am with the whole process, although I got what I paid for a clean, deodorized carpet, but I was left feeling that I would have been money ahead had I rented a Rug Doctor and done it myself in the evening when I wouldn't have taken a day off work and could have disposed of my own waste water without tearing up my lawn.
Description of Work: The sump in our basement got overrun from heavy rains. The carpet was wet and we were able to immediately pull the pad out and dry out the carpet. We had new pad and the old carpet reinstalled and then needed to have the carpet cleaned, deodorized, and a milicide used to make it like new again. I called Carpet boss based on the yellow pages. Hindsight being what it is, it was not a good choice and I should have consulted Angie's List first. Carpet Boss came out and did what we had asked. Cleaned, deodorized, and milicided the carpet. They did a fine job, however the whole process left a pretty bad taste.
