We were needing someone to mow our yard since we drive semi and aren't home enough to take care of it. My mother-in-law is unable to do the lawn. We turned to the local white pages and called Randy's Lawn Care since he was local. He came over that evening to look at the yard and give us an estimate. He was reasonable with his price and we agreed that he would be there the following week. On the day that he was to be here we called and my mother-in-law said that he hadn't showed up. We kept checking in the rest of the week and he still hadn't showed up. My husband called Randy and he claimed that he had forgotten, even though he said that he had written it down in his dayplanner He showed up the next day and my mother-in-law went out and showed him where to mow and where not to mow. We had taken some bricks and concrete blocks and placed them around the new trees, shrubs and flowers so that they didnt run them over with the mowers or cuts them with the weedeaters. She came back into the house while they did the mowing and after she gave them the check they left. She went outside to look at things and she noticed that one of the new shrubs had been cut. When they showed up again she let him know that it had been cut and his reply was "Oh well". like he didnt care. They had also moved some planters and lawn statues so they could mow but never put them back after they were done. When we got back home and I saw that my shrub had been cut down and what Randy's response was when told. I said that he would not be coming back to mow my yard again. If you are a professional lawncare person you should have respect for the person's property and if you mess something up, tell them and take responsibility.
Description of Work: Randy was hired to mow and do the edging on our yard. We have a lot of new flowers, shrubs and trees in the front yard. We lined the beds and around the trees with bricks so they would know where not to mow. When they showed up, a week late, they cut down one of the new shrubs and left without saying what had happened. They showed back up to mow two weeks later without us asking them to come and when it was pointed out that they had cut down a shrub they didn't care. This was the owner himself who done the work and his attitude was "oh well". It wasn't his problem.
