Paid TOP price for new wood floors. . First ordered wrong thickness.. then ordered too much but was going to keep u ntil i said something. And only refunded $105 . Lost 115yr old trim and said "were we supposed to watch it hourly". didn't replace. Charged to put cabinets back 1800.. Insisted on natural look when repeatedly asked to stain. .and now i have to pay someone else to refinish and put in trim. BAD DEAL

Many inaccuracies in this review. While I agree the job was a difficult one the root cause of most of our problems were the other laborers on the jobsite who threw away the trim mentioned above from the garage storage area, this review implies we lost trim. We also had MANY tools go missing on this job. We assume it was the other contractors (one of whom was living in a tent in customer's backyard) as they were regularly "borrowing" our tools as they did not have their own. We also, refunded full amount for wood not used. Customer did ask for a refund and since refunding is our standard practice the answer was of course, "yes". This review assumes we were going to somehow profit off keeping wood; not true, never true. Finally, stain was discussed, although nothing was insisted upon. Rather, Top Shelf said we would not do stain. If the customer wanted stain they were free to discuss with us or find a different contractor. We were recently called back to job to explain to a basement contractor the work we did supporting and correcting the sagging floor and not only did the floor look great, it had not been re-sanded and was never stained. Customer expressed her happiness with the job at that time.
