Good job...

This is a beautiful house, and we fell in love when we saw it. There are Brazilian Cherry hardwood floors on the first floor, thick base board moldings, and columns, everything we wanted from an older home, but in new construction. After moving in, the problems began to surface. There have been many issues with the door jams on multiple doors (screws stripped out, doors not closing flush, doors not catching to latch properly). The shower in the basement had a leak due to a drywall screw going through the pipe. This in turn led to other problems in the basement as a result of water damage. Steve Brenneman was on top of the water issue in the basement right away, however, the other items from the one year home warranty were a slow go, and he flat out refused to complete some of them. Upon further inspection on our parts, those once incredible base board moldings were found to have misaligned mitered corners, gaps, and they were not given two coats of paint so they are nearly impossible to clean due to the roughness. There were some other details that we do still enjoy though, the bonus sun room, the recessed bookcase in the master bedroom, the knockdown textured ceilings. Overall, we are content with our purchase, we just wish the all things were given equal detail.
