Big Dog Deck & Chimney

They came and were very nice but told me my chimney was not functioning and not safe to use. I was told I would need an entire chimney flashing rebuild and would cost $3,000 to make it a wood burning again and $2,000 for a gas insert. He said he would send a quote to repair just the immediate concern of some missing mortar and never did. Tried to contact again the next summer with no luck. Had a different contractor come in to finally fix the mortar and when I told him what was previously quoted to me, he said "Let me guess, Big Dog told you that." he said he had 2 calls on Friday from realtors with the same story, Big Dog tells the same thing to every house they inspect, its not safe to use and they need thousands of dollars of repairs. They probably do good service but get additional quotes before giving them the job.

Excellent service! Not only cleaned the chimney but cleaned and inspected all the other vents throughout the house. Caught some issues and concerns with the chimney that were overlooked by previous services. Very thorough, efficient and competent - we will definitely be using Big Dog again!
