Advanced Hardwood Floors

This job was supposed to take only a couple of days, but ended up taking months to complete. I was told that they would be sanding off the old finish and recoating with several coats of new finish. The owner started the job and kept making appointments to finish, but didn't show up. After numerous phone calls, he finally finished most of the work (although he broke the baseboards, which were never replaced even though he said they would be). The final product was poor. There were still stains under the finish that should have been sanded out. Cracks and nail holes from previous carpeting remained, though they should have been filled. A few weeks later, the new finish started peeling. We had other companies come out to look at the floor, and all of them said that the refinishing was not done properly. The floor had never been adequately sanded (which is why the stains and holes were still there) and this probably caused the peeling. I called the owner of Advanced Hardwood Floors back again and told him that the floor was peeling. I never got a call back. Overall this was an awful experience. In the beginning, we went with this company to save some money, but we should have gone with a more reputable, albeit slightly more expensive company. I ended up paying way too much for the final result. I would NEVER recommend this company or use them again.
