The move went well. They were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was damaged, and Adamantine was very careful with our belongings. They (three man crew) started promptly at 8:00am and were done moving everything into our house by noon.

Overall, I was reasonably satisfied with the service provided by this moving company. This was our first big move and our first time hiring a moving company to do the entire move rather than doing it ourselves. In our previous experience with movers, though we have only had partial moving jobs done in the past, the movers have had a tendency to look unkempt and to be quite late (usually by 2-3 hours). In some cases, they did not show up at all. As a result of this prior experience, we were wary of using a moving company for this big move. We were pleasantly surprised by our interactions with this moving company. The manager of this company was professional and prompt in his response to our initial inquiry and additional questions. The movers themselves were clean-cut and professional-looking, and they showed up within 5 minutes of the scheduled time for both loading and unloading. They were efficient, and they seemed to be quite knowledgeable about how to handle items properly to avoid damage. They were careful with our belongings, and they were considerate enough to roll out fabric and plastic onto our wood floors and carpeting to avoid too much dragging in of dirt and shoe prints on our floors. Despite their caution, which was much appreciated, they did scratch a wall at the new property when moving a couch in, but there was no other significant damage. I guess the really disappointing thing was that they were not able to fit all of our things in the moving van they had selected for the move. We did not have a walk-through prior to the service since this company was based in the area we were moving to (rather than where we were moving from), so the truck size was chosen based on estimated weight of our belongings. The weight estimate for our belongings was accurate (in fact, we overestimated the weight to some degree), but still they were not able to load everything onto the truck. The movers said it was because of the overall shape of our furniture, which could not have been anticipated ahead of time. It was just irritating that the two of us had two rent Uhauls at the last minute and pile all the rest of our things in there that night after the movers were finished. The whole point of paying several thousand dollars to a moving company is not having to do it ourselves! It was very inconvenient to rent the extra moving trucks on short notice. Since we each had to drive one, we had to rent an additional piece of equipment to tow the vehicle we were planning to drive in. It cost us extra money (at least an extra $400) extra time, and a lot of extra work that we were not anticipating. If the rest of the service had not been so excellent, that probably would have been enough for me to rate the experience a "C" instead of a "B," but I wanted to recognize the high quality of personnel at this company. I think they make an effort to provide good customer service, and I applaud that. I think would be open to working with this company again, but only if they did a walk-through inspection of my belongings first and were able to guarantee that they could do the entire move with whatever truck they selected. I do think we will try out another option for our next move, though, just because of the negative parts of this experience.

They moved the table and chairs right on schedule. I liked the fact that they properly protected the table and chairs from getting damaged. I received an estimate on the move and they charged exactly what they said it would be.
