I wanted the marble I had selected installed in a specific way to achieve a certain look. Each piece needed cut, shaped and installed to spec to achieve the desired appearance. They were great to work with and completed the work exactly as I wanted.

I have used porter tile on 3 different properties over several years and the end results were exceptional. I was so impressed I turned Bruce loose to do a custom design on a basement wall after repairing water damage and wow it transformed the entire rec room. I Absolutely recommend these guys.

Porter Tile was everything I was looking for. I went in knowing that my home needed some major floor updates. The owner took the time to help me decide on classic styles that would look perfect with my already existing decor and was kind enough to bring many samples for me to mull over. The job was finished two days earlier than expected! It looks fantastic I highly recommend this tile company.

Bruce and Nate were exceptional!! They tiled our basement shower and it looks amazing!!! They made the design look outstanding - so visually pleasing. Bruce also guided us in what kind of grout would go well with the tile and pebble flooring we picked out - he's the expert! He also put in 3 frosted, glass-type shelves in the shower - we found out he makes those himself - so it's extra special because of its uniqueness! Bruce and Nate are so kind and easy-going, we would hire them again and again!!! We've gotten multiple compliments on how our shower turned out!

Bruce and his son did an extremely fine job and at what I thought was a very reasonable cost. I would definitely use Porter Tile again if I ever needed their services.

Bruce Porter did a good job. He is a little disorganized with his bidding process (emailing) but he finally got it figured out. I liked him well enough as an installer, but the quality of the installation is Good not Excellent. Some grout lines are inconsistent, there was small amounts of grout left on tiles. Some tiles bulge out. I will say he did help me figure out how to tile out the window in my tub (other installers had no idea what to do) and it was a pretty slick install. Props to Bruce on that. I would probably use Bruce again. He came out quickly after I called for initial evaluation, had a reasonable bid to me fairly quickly, and started work fairly soon after I accepted even though it was around the end of the year. He also drove from Indianola to my place in Ames. That alone is worth a bunch because other installers I got estimates from took forever at every step of the bidding process and they were in town.

Bruce did a heck of a job! He was always prompt in his communication with us, he was extremely courteous, and he was very easy-going. The work turned out fantastic. We could not be more happy with our new floor! I would be happy to use Bruce again for any kind of tile project. I loved his small town attitude and demeanor, it was exactly what we were looking for, so laid back yet so professional. Clean up was amazing and the project was done exactly when he said it would be.

These guys were great to work with. They were fast, high quality, friendly and their fee was very reasonable. They are real professionals. Bruce had an idea that saved me several hundred dollars in material costs, virtually it paid for the shower tile he installed. He also came up with a creative idea to make the shower tile look even better without costing anything extra. All of the tile was installed correctly, no sliver cuts with these guys. To top things off, they were waiting on my countertops to be installed to finish installing a backsplash. The countertops were installed a day before Thanksgiving and they had the backsplash installed the day after Thanksgiving. That same day they fixed a broken tile that was my fault for breaking for free. I will use these guys again in a heartbeat.

We added to the scope a little bit. We did have a little up charge because there was a little bit more footage involved and then some other features we had him look at. It included some additional work so it was outside the scope of $349 program. It was very well done. Very satisfied. He was real easy to work with. They came out and made appointments. It worked out real well and he did a good job showing up and informing us of details or other things to think about. There was little confusion about what tile we were to pick out and exactly where to get it from there was little confusion about that but overall in the end it was fine. We had a couple of issues getting back and forth. He responded. He was there when he said he was going to be. He and son were very thorough and professional and cleaned up afterwards and all that. The quality was excellent.

I purchased the BIG DEAL and was contacted by e mail from Bruce Porter asking me to contact him by phone which I did. We scheduled a time to get my kitchen floor measured. I selected the tile which was within the budget allowed by the deal and gave him the information about the specifics of the tile and store. He measured my floor and we talked about whether to replace the concrete board over the sub floor or not. I was not sure that I needed it and said I would leave it up to him. He said he would get back to me by email to schedule the work. When he did email me, an estimate for the work was adding about $500.00 to the cost of the original deal. The deal stated clearly that the cost of installation and concrete board was included in the BIG DEAL so I was surprised to get the estimate. I e mailed back stating that I wanted the standard installation not the custom installation and would be okay if the concrete board wasn't installed. He refused this and stated that he would shave off $50 of the installation fee but would need to keep the addition of the concrete board. I explained in my return e mail that those extra installation costs were already included in the original deal. If I had to pay more than I would need to be refunded the $349.00 and would not proceed. He didn't respond.

Bruce did a great job- I was very happy with the final result. However, he did take over a month to get to us to get the job done and he did not measure properly so my husband had to stop work to go buy him more material.

We were able to contact the provider. He was overwhelmed with the amount of big deals bought. We would not be able to redeem our purchase for three months. We need this done within the month. He was nice and pleasant, we just need this done sooner.

Bruce Porter was knowledgeable about what I needed done and communication seemed good. I didn't hear from him with promised estimates so I called. He informed me he could not find the time to do the work. I offered to postpone installation even though we had not come up with a date. He asked me to confirm my email by sending him one at his email which I did but I never heard from him. Very disappointed.

Bruce and Nathan did a great job on the tile work - we are very pleased with the result! Bruce listened to what I wanted but also suggested an alternate tile pattern for the floor that we really liked. They were careful to contain the mess, putting down runners on the carpet where they had to walk, doing the messy cutting work outside, and cleaning up at the end of each day. They kept us apprised of their schedule and showed up when they said they would, finishing the job well ahead of our deadline. The cost was very reasonable in comparison with other bids that we received and the amount we paid was the exact amount that we were quoted before the project started.

Bruce Porter was extremely responsive from the initial contact. He came out shortly after I made my first call to provide an estimate for the services we were requesting. He has a contagious, upbeat and enthusiastic personality. He's very creative and has a lot of great ideas. You can tell he's extremely passionate about his work. His quote was very reasonable and as soon as we were ready for the tile installation, Bruce and his son Nathan were ready to start. Both Bruce and Nathan are very professional and polite. They performed the work as requested and we were extremely happy with the end result. I'd highly recommend Bruce and his son Nathan for any future tile needs!

Mr. Porter provided an estimate which detailed the work to be done along with the estimated costs. He started on our project less than one week after giving us the estimate. He kept the work area clean by putting a protective covering on our stairs and tarps where he was working. He did outstanding work and we are very satified with the end result. We would highly recommend Mr. Porter to anyone who is looking for this type of installation.

Overall it was a very pleasant experience.
